Digital Art: Young Native American girl wrapped in a blanket. / / Note: All my digital art work is executed entirely with my mouse and Photoshop Elements’ brushes. It takes hours of concentration, patience and self control. Especially when the mouse wants to go right and you need it to go left! When this happens , I reluctantly leave my office and go for a stroll in my garden. / That usually takes care of the problem and then, I get back to work :)
The original painting is acrylic on Canvas / 60×50 cm “Spring has arrived / Spring has definitely arrived / What’s your spring sound like? / This year, mine is in E major”
a close-up of my youngest… ever since she was little, no matter where we went, someone would always comment on her gorgeous eyes. / I’m still trying to learn, so it is not perfect. / Taken with natural light
A self-portrait.
I can feel Spring coming. / I love cherry blossoms, especially when the petals start falling from the trees. / With a strong wind, it is like a beautiful gentle flower storm. / I love to stand inside the flower storm and watch the little pink petals falling. Haru no umi I painted the petals one by one. / Took me for a long time… / Acrylic on Canvas / 76×91 cm Music Inspired Art / / M.I.A Interview by tkrosevear

I decided to make the most of the nice weather so my little girl & I played in the park.. I tried to take some good shots but she’s forever running from the camera, she’s very strong willed and everything always has to be her way so here it is! / P.S.. She’s also had a big hair cut this week :o) / Taken with Nikon D200, 14-24 wide angle lens
Here’s another one from today in the park. / Taken with a Nikon D200 & Nikkor 14-24mm wide angle lens.
She brings warm winds, tempestuious rain squalls, an explosion of flowers and new leaves and… mosquitos. Drawn specifically on request for a cross stitching friend of mine, who needed her for a trade. The cross stitched version is wonderful!
mixed media (acrylic and little paper cutouts on canvas)

Summer Breeze a beautiful poem by the same title by a dear friend of mine Anne Van Alkemade / Inspired by the song Summer Breeze / by Seals and Croft Also inspired by myself and my experience of having bugs and insects come to try and take up residence in my ears… scrabbling around in there, getting all comfy…while I’m going crazy…click beetles, houseflies and spiders so far have all tried this… lol This is a girl who has an affinity with nature, and as the summer breezes begin to blow here in Australia…....the animals are drawn to live in her hair thinking that it must be branches of a tree… yes, my hair’s that dry… :) I thought it a fitting one for summer, hope you like her… Pencil drawing took me about 3 hours / Digital colouring – 10 hours / Total time 13 hours
