  • Here’s another photo of my little muse. This wasn’t a posed one, just natural, the way I like it. I also have this photo in sepia which looks nice so choosing was a hard decision.

  • From the series “Lit by the Dark of the Shadow’. This image was the grand-daddy of them all – on the wall at 1300×900mm, whilst the other 13 were 700×500mm. I chose to do this one large as it pretty much summed up everything I wanted to address with this show. Journey and exploration, choice and consequence, and polarities such as ego and shadow, light and dark, positive and negative. We each present a side of us to the world that is bathed in light, goodness and fertility. We hide or suppress our darkness, our ugly bits of which we’re ashamed. My question within this show is, if we each acknowledge or experience our own shadow are we not more knowledgable about ourselves, and consequently the world we exist in?

  • ...... a time there was a girl that loved to sit in the woods and wait for the Dark to come. And the Dark came and embraced her. The Dark came in flood, lapping her toes and the hem of her skirt. The Dark came barefoot and his footprints would be seen vanishing into the mist. The Dark sang in the leaves of the trees and creaked in their branches. He gazed upon her from the moon and softly kissed her hair while he played with fingers of wind with their curls. Perhaps if you would take your heart and go to the woods with moon alight and Dark so bright, you could find her still sitting there, on her bench, whispering tender nonsense to the love filled dark silence. * / STOCK CREDIT: * / http://piratequeen-stock.deviantart.com/ / http://lup-stock.deviantart.com/ / http://lady-dementia-stock.deviantart.com/ / http://ro-stock.deviantart.com/ / http://adaae-stock.deviantart.com/ / http://lugubrum-stock.deviantart.com/

  • This was a lot of fun. I have many infrared b/w images from a shoot I did at Berlin, Nevada, a very famous ghost town out in the absolute middle of nowhere desert.. The juxtaposition shot of me, the ghost girl, was photographed by my friend Richard Stephens, a fantastic ghost town/olde west photographer, at the other ghost town of Rhyolite, Nevada, which is about 200 miles away… ;-)
