Sometimes we are lucky to bear witness to some of life’s golden moments; A baby’s first steps, a proposal, a reuninon between friends… or a child’s first touch of snow. This was their moment – hopefully one of many. And I was lucky enough to be at the right place, at the right time, to capture that moment. Lady luck must’ve smiled to me on that day.

This was taken on a trip to Costa Rica. The waterfall was located deep in the forest and only reached after 2 hours trek. This natural light was stunning and the water itself incredibly invigorating, if not a bit cold! This is the first of a series of 7 drawings dedicated to the Kore’s figure, “the girl”, the other name that was known the goddess Persephone. As Kore Persephone represented the youth, the Spring. Material: pencil, white charcoal pencil and white colored pencil on paper. The background was realized applying with Photoshop a my texture effect “old paper”.
