Meg had fun posing, and Nanna had fun with the processing! Created with two photos and a few layers. Extracted the background from the legs, desaturated the colours, overlaid a photo of a texture and blended the background image through. Companion piece to Danse avec moi PUBLISHED in Australia’s Camera magazine January 2009 This image made Photo of the Day in the Photo Art category on http://www.shutterbugs.biz/ today (18 Nov 08) ... !!! Photograph “to see a video of Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole” CLICK This is a photograph I took of my youngest daughter. When my daughters were younger, we used to tell Faery stories at bed time and take turns adding to the story. The stories were very long and often times they would be very revealing, these were happy memories for us so…….. I wanted to capture what one of those characters might have looked like, she was a Tree Faery and her hair was a birds nest, egg included.

I was really lucky to get this shot. While I was standing and trying my new 18-200mm VR lens on the beginning of a wooden bridge somewhere in Brooklyn, I saw her walking by herself on the bridge. She was so mysterious to me with her walk and clothing, therefore, I named my picture as: “Mysterious Girl” When you search the words “Mysterious” is the eleventh and “Mysterious Girl” is the number one picture on Google Images. Heart Built on Tears These are individually placed waterdrops on a CD. The colors come from how the light is refracted on the surface.
