Not about me being bitter .. sometimes paintings, or etc., are not about the author (of the story) , but, about someone else. Or, if they are still about their creator, it is about their capacity for empathy This is bitterness, tinged with sadness; or, vice versa. The point where a person (this time a woman) realizes that they’ve swallowed so much crap from so many people, that crap is what they’ve become. This is the point beyond vindication, beyond who else is at fault, when one must learn to forgive or perish. Self realization, when one’s self is not in a pretty mental or moral state, when one has grown socially malignant, is never an easy task; but, it is so worth it. Especially in the cases of divorce with children. You may have been wronged, you may be be lied about, and it’s okay to need someone to listen to you about that. It’s not okay for it to be your children. They are not weapons of warfare; they are creations of acts of love. ahem For the argumentative: they are meant to be acts of love. If it was not love that created them, that’s hardly their fault, now is it? So, back to the point: If you give into bitterness, you destroy yourself. Maybe you destroy your marriage that way to begin with; maybe you destroy your children, relationship with your friends, etc. along the way. What you do not do is cause any significant harm to the person you are bitter over, by spilling vileness out from between your iips or acting in a nasty manner. Even if you are telling the truth, acting upon real injuries inflicted, it’s not good for you, for your kids, or for anyone else. If you are lying, well, that just makes it worse. Think about it, please.
