  • This is a mod I made of my daughter using Photoshop CS2 and Photo Booth. This is my spin on what our mothers used to tell us (don’t make faces or it might stay that way)...lol

  • Washington Square Park, NYC

  • Here is the image following ‘Red Ribbon’. My little girl worked out how to open the heavy back gate and thought she could escape into the big park at the back of our new house. I decided to add this image to satisfy the curiosity of everyone who wanted to know what she saw through the hole in the gate!

  • Have you ever seen something or someone and you know you just have to photograph it at all odds? This photograph was taken in Moses Gate last year or so? I had a 300mm lens on my camera to photograph some swans, when I saw this copper red running by from a fair distance. I just couldn’t believe the red contrasting against all that green. I took a speedy snap intending to get one much closer but she was gone!

  • Girls spinning on a whirling carnival ride during a mid summer’s night; from a series: Sunset on the Small Town Carnival. Owing to the rise of mega-parks and high liability insurance, small town carnivals are rapidly disappearing. Whenever possible I try to document these vanishing icons of the Twentieth Century American landscape. The original image was shot at 1/15th with a camera flash and 2 remote strobes. The long exposure shows motion and the flash freezes detail. I used opposing color filters on the remotes to get better depth in the subject. In post processing I used a combination of effects from both Illustrator and PhotoShop. The big trick was getting the file size down by rasterizing my AIs in PS and reopening them in AI and re-saving as a vector.
