Photograph “to see a video of Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole” CLICK This is a photograph I took of my youngest daughter. When my daughters were younger, we used to tell Faery stories at bed time and take turns adding to the story. The stories were very long and often times they would be very revealing, these were happy memories for us so…….. I wanted to capture what one of those characters might have looked like, she was a Tree Faery and her hair was a birds nest, egg included.

This is my grand-daughter Angelica…Same processing as The Free Thinker edited in “Gaïa…The living planet book” / I was amazed by the result,I thought it realy looked like an ancient painting. / A long time ago , they use to capture a moment in paintings.When I did that layer I had the impression to had captured the beautiful face of my Angelica forever.C.C Arshagra wrote a poem for me that realy represent that image,when I read it,I cried like a baby.I was realy touched. / I did another image later with the same processing called The free thinker / / / / /

*My work was featured in the group Video Montage / ( Thanks Muscular Teeth and Butchart ) Excerpt from “Abigail’s Friends” written by Anthony Hedger illustrated by Carrie Glenn. ...“I think we better go back now.” She whispered to the butterfly. / “Why?” The butterfly asked. “It’s only my friends and they are having a special tea party just for you, come on and I’ll introduce you to them.” / “Er, ok, if you think I’ll be alright?” / “Of course you’ll be alright.” The red fox called to her. “Come on your tea is getting cold.” / So for the next two hours Abigail sat with Mr. Fox, Mr. Bear, Miss Rabbit, Ms. Blue bird and a hundred different butterflies and had tea and cake and chatted as though she had known them all her life. I tried to take some good shots but she’s forever running from the camera, she’s very strong willed and everything always has to be her way so here it is! / P.S.. This is one in a series of photos that I took of my youngest daughter Shae, my oldest daughter Kaila did her makeup. They both told me that they didn’t like this picture but she let me post it anyway…......I’m not sure why they don’t like it??? maybe you know????LOL …..give it to me straight ;) This was layered with another photo.

/ Morning Light World English Bible / Yahweh make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. From the ‘Connection Series’, this is a pencil drawing, coloured with aquacolour crayons on paper… i have played around with this quite a bit in photoshop also, applying layers and more colour to enrich the overall look When i ponder this, it gives me a feeling of hope, like after the mourning, there is morning and the sun comes out again….. It’s all about our connection with nature and other lofty things :)

/ / / original pencil drawing ...stayed up very late drawing “Nature’s Child”... you know when it’s time for a baby to be born, i think it’s very similar with art… the inspiration just comes when it’s ready…and sometimes that means drawing til 3am like i did with this one. ...the drawing took about 3 hours, and the digital colouring took about 5 hours today. ...inspired by some fantastic eyes i’ve seen lately, (drawn by people on RB) and the dear little willy wagtails…they are so cheeky…they aren’t authentic in colour here, because they are always black and white with little markings above the eye…but i have put their essence into the work hopefully. I think this is my favourite so far :) /

Summer Breeze a beautiful poem by the same title by a dear friend of mine Anne Van Alkemade / Inspired by the song Summer Breeze / by Seals and Croft Also inspired by myself and my experience of having bugs and insects come to try and take up residence in my ears… scrabbling around in there, getting all comfy…while I’m going crazy…click beetles, houseflies and spiders so far have all tried this… lol This is a girl who has an affinity with nature, and as the summer breezes begin to blow here in Australia…....the animals are drawn to live in her hair thinking that it must be branches of a tree… yes, my hair’s that dry… :) I thought it a fitting one for summer, hope you like her… Pencil drawing took me about 3 hours / Digital colouring – 10 hours / Total time 13 hours
