My little girl always dresses up in my wedding dress and tells me that when she grows up, she wants to be just like me and get married in ‘mummy’s princess dress’. So I though, hmmm….. A photo opportunity! :o) FYI.. This was my wedding dress which I wore and designed over 9 years ago..

Picasso fans will recognize this as similar to “Girl Before A Mirror”. It was of course insired by that painting. This was done in blue and green colored pencils… it very much expressed how I was feeling at the time I did it.

Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it. ~ Confucius For the girl that has ever looked in the mirror and wished for longer hair, bigger lips, smaller ears, a thinner figure, whiter teeth, wider eyes, better make up, a prettier smile….....this is for you!! Have you ever noticed when you walk down Shop Street, or Grafton Street or any high street for that matter!? that girls all tend to dress the same? Yes there are differences of course in styles, colours, shapes etc, but everyone is trying to be someone else, trying to look like someone else, trying to fit into a mould. And do you know what the ironic thing is? You are best at being you, not being your sister, your best friend, the girl from the Rimmel advert or new TV soap. You were made YOU and guess what? You are amazing, you are unique, you are priceless, you are treasured, you were designed, not just thrown together, you are a masterpiece. You were not an accident. You are here at this time for a reason. You are best at being you. Do not try and be anyone else, do not try and fit into a mould that was never made for you. And sure nobody is perfect, we all have made wrong decisions and mistakes, but do not focus on them. Focus on the fact that YOU are amazing, not the person beside you, you’re husband, cat, dog or best friend. YOU are amazing. Learn to like yourself and life will be so much better. Embrace what you have. You may want a smaller figure, different family, prettier smile, and while you can change some things, others you just have to learn to accept and embrace. Be You, because you are Beautiful.
