Self portrait - I love these magazines my Grandma gave them to me! all the ones I have are from the early 1940’s this one is my favorite, on the cover is Gloria Grahame she was in some really old films and one of them was It’s a Wonderful Life I can’t remember the other ones but I just love looking through these magazines!

Oil Pastel And Acrylic (With minor digital enhancements) Here’s Ophelia all dressed up for a party that she’s hosting! A party that celebrates all that life has to offer,both the good and not so good :D She’s wearing her new flower feather clips and a ribbon belt to adorn her waist. All who read this will be invited! A belief that Life is to be celebrated, not just the ups but the downs too. It is easier to give thanks and rejoice when things go well for us but can we still do the same when things dont turn out the way we want them to? In dry or in bountiful times, I keep reminding myself to count my blessings…to adopt the mindset of abundance and not of scacity. Since music is such an important part of my life, I decided to make a drawing dedicated to this love. Sadly, I cannot play an instrument myself, but I just love listening to music, as it can make me so happy, or make me feel inspired, or just as something to listen to when I feel sad. This shirt is also inspired by my youngest sister, who recently started to learn how to play the guitar. =) For the original drawing, you can go here /

Because Easter is approaching I thought it appropriate :) The child’s sustenance, or umbilical cord if you like is coming from a tree, symbolic of the healing that nature can bring….the new life and growth that comes with nurture both of spirit and of nature. Humility is understanding our rightful place in the scheme of all things, including nature, family structure and the wider community…... a world where there is tolerance for all, is the one i pray for
