  • Spectral Faunae Mk. III? Maybe, maybe not. Mainly, this is a sci-fi tribute to the aussies and, more specifically, to the aussie roos. So, yes, it’s a winged fantasy kangaroo of light and crystals. I took the last particle of the Archaeopteryx (arguably the first “bird”, although it was a dino) and placed it at the end of “Macropus” in “Macropus Giganteous”, aka, the Eastern Grey Kangaroo. Weird, huh? Work done with Chaoscope and Photoshop, again, making use of high resolution+a lot of layers+a lot of memory. I’m glad I upgraded my comp…

  • Where ever I go I seem to shoot this “Perspective”. I noticed other people do the same thing. So here’s my view from below, at Muir Woods National Monument. This shot was taken on fathers day 2007.

  • Guache on watercolor paper.

  • The Spider has woken and is walking the streets of Liverpool controlled by 15 people using levers and pulleys Yesterday commuters arrived at Lime Street, Liverpool to find a gigantic mechanical spider clinging to a derelict building next to the station. A group of French specialist researchers announced that they had been observing the creature, apparently made of steel and wood and a thousand times the size of anything in nature, for weeks. It appears to be female, around 13m tall, and has been dubbed ‘La Princesse’ by the team. The 37-tonne beast heralds the start of a five-day piece of street theatre as part of the Capital of Culture year. It has been built by French company La Machine, which in 2006 brought the streets of London to a standstill with the Sultan’s Elephant.

  • Suffering, although on the surface it looks like a negative thing, is actually a journey of the soul toward the Light. When suffering is intense enough, one can actually detach from it and look at the suffering part of their Self as if they were a mere beholder.

  • The cliffs at Los Gigantes on the west side of Tenerife are quite spectacular, rising up to 600 metres above sea level. Often hidden in cloud or mist, I was so lucky that day to capture them unveiled as it were. This was my breakfast view from the hotel – and I admit I didn’t just gulp down my coffee to go:-) Location: Puerto de Santiago, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. / Nikon D70, Sigma 18-200mm. • The “hand” was part of a public sculpture/statue in Siracusa’s main square (Sicily, Italy). I framed the shot so that it appears that the hand is reaching up to grab the top of the church.
