I was extremely bored today and I wanted to do something creative so I found the bubbles and started blowing out in the backyard. It was a little windy today so it was a stupid idea but I couldn’t stop trying, I just wanted ONE ! bubble with some sort of reflection before it popped. It was a mess, dripping bubbles everywhere and dropping my camera around my wrist a hundred times and then POP…..too late ! but finally I got one I really liked ….it reminds me of a garden globe.

At the end of a sunrise shoot at Charlottes Pass, Kosciuszko National Park, one cold autumn morning, the sun was catching the frost and that caught my eye – luckily I had a sleeping mat with me to lie on to get down and get this perspective. (brrrrrr!!!!) Taken on slide film and Cross Processed, then scanned…

Lolly is the sweetest munchkin, I love her to death! Although I am really, really going to miss my cousin and her gorgie daughter when they move to Macau my compensation is the addition to my family of this little girl. It’s a bit tricky now having a Tolly and a Lolly! When I growl at Lolly for jumping all over the elderly Tolly, Tolly often gives me this kind of “what did I do?” look! But Lolly was named by the afore-mentioned gorgie daughter of my cousin who is 3 years old so there it is.

...a drop of water on the leaf of a weed in a garden of roses. He’s the Master Of Details, isn’t He? :-) Of the more than 110,000 photographs I’ve taken in the last two years, this is the one that garners the most positive comments and the most admiration. I’ve always loved it but hadn’t know the depth of other’s enjoyment in it until I started showing it in prints and online. Here, it’s the shot I’ve taken with the most comments and the most ‘favouritings’. The very glory of what He does on such an incredibly small scale shows in this simple macro snapshot of a weed. If I had to choose a single photograph I’d call a “masterpiece”, this one or “magnolia” would tie for that title. All profit from the sale of this image is pledged to be donated to the church or pastor of the buyer’s choice. If no choice is specified, I will chose one and note it in my Red Bubble journal. I’m personally not a fan of Valentines Day as I don’t feel I need one day in the year to show love, but what I do love and appreciate is the simple things. I don’t like extravagant presents or gestures, I much prefer a simple daisy picked from a field and a hand written love note.. I think these simple gestures are slowly being lost in the commercialism. Anyway, This is my interpretation of simple love…..
