I hope you like it ;) CHUNKIE Mother and Child is made completely from plasticine, with a little photoshopping. This is a sweet card or print for new mums, babies nurseries, children’s rooms or daycare centres and maternity hospitals…that kind of thing Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

This one I found in / Airlie Beach, Qld. / They are usually seen sitting on a prominent perch / flicking their forked fish like tail open and shut or / darting erratically in flight catching insects. ...This is a further collaboration/experiment with my daughter; in order to get attuned for Christmas Eve. – In the middle my daughter reminded of the Holy Mary. She is kneeling, and it seems as she is praying to the light… we feel peace and tranquility in this picture. It was a beautiful, relaxing, exciting, shared creative experience for both of us. I call it verbal non-verbal art form. this work was result/accompanied with this song: / Encaustic on encaustic paper.
