  • I wanted a image, that I think of alot about. This Poem was written by Vanesse Cathleen who is here on redbubble, i thought it suited this image. The Party Is Over You have been traveling down a one way street. / That will only take you to your personal defeat. It all starts out having fun with your friends / but it doesn’t take long until the parting ends. Your life gets hard, your funds get low, / depression begins to creep in slow. You have warn yourself out, your body is tired. / Your brain is warped yet, you keep getting wired. Your party has lasted a little too long. / No one will listen to your sad twisted song. Now you are traveling a little to fast / and it’s about time to make this all part / of your past. You are near the end / What will you do? Drive on… Drive off… / It’s Up To You!!! • “Ghost in the Machine” was the title of a book authored by Arthur Koestler. Koestler claims that mankind is moving towards self-destruction. Koestler states that the human brain is built upon primitive brain structures, and that these are the “ghost in the machine”. At times these structures can overpower higher logical functions, and are responsible for hate, anger and other such destructive impulses. The Police titled their 1981 album “Ghost in the Machine”. This is where I first heard of this concept. My t-shirt design interpretation of this attempts to graphically represent that man made machines manifest behaviours or events that cannot be explained. These behaviours or events are not programmed, they are the product of the machine taking its own course. These are reflections of our primitive destructive impluses within the machines that we have created…. as the machines are a reflection of us, they are likely to display self destructive behaviour just as we do….. • This is the colour version of the HDR sunset shot at Mannum that has come up with an amazing dogs face in the lower left portion of the image. Shot taken between Mannum and Young Husband near the Marina. No photoshop manipulation the dogs face just appeared. Dave from mannum was with me that night shooting just a little to my right and the face didn’t appear in his images. Canon 400D polarising filter – 18- 55 lens HDR and converted in Photomatix…

  • Caught him on Halloween Night and put him in my jar. He was still there the next morning. Do you have to feed ghosts?

  • ©2007-2008 Aimee Stewart, Foxfires – please see my CC Terms of Use before considering using this image for any personal or commercial use http://foxfires.deviantart.com/journal/15905899/ / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- There are so many familiar sayings out there about ‘Time’ as we know it. Time heals all wounds. Time flies when you’re having fun. Time stands still. Time waits for no one. If I could turn back the hands of Time. Frozen in Time. Timeless…. you get the idea. Well, I wanted to create a series that perhaps captured the essence of these things, in relation to human emotion. And so my Time series was born. I know in my heart what each of them means, but I did not name them anything specific, so that the viewer could make up their own mind as to the meaning of each piece. I think that is something unique to every individual. So…my heartfelt thanks for continuing to watch and support my artistic endeavors. It feeds the fire that burns and inspires. / Aimee
