This was taken on the track to Bushranger Bay, near Cape Schanck, Victoria, in midwinter.
A solitary beautiful tree at the edge of a sunlit glade
Trees on the edge of a field near the road, in fog after snow.
Rustling tree tops caught on long exposure at night in one of the creepiest courtyards I’ve ever been in. Being there alone at half one in the morning didn’t help. (Avignon, France.)
Better viewed large.

Taken on Fraser Island, Queensland, Australia. These trees maybe Ghost Gums and I’ve also heard them called Dingo Trees ( as they have no bark ! ) I may be wrong on both names but what I do know is that they are impressively tall, some reaching a hundred feet or more. / Taken a few years ago on my old 35mm Canon film camera. It’s a great morning to be dead…......don’t you think?
Black and White version of Glow Above the Tree, reducing the blue channel and increasing the red channel. A touch of burning along the line of the hill completed the conversion.
Trephina Gorge Nature Park lies in the East MacDonnell Ranges, 85 kilometres East of Alice Springs, and is notable for its sheer quartzite cliffs, Red River Gums and sandy creek bed. Trephina Gorge is one of two gorges that intersect the range. The other, John Hayes Rock Hole, is an impressive structure. The waterholes attract a wide variety of unique native wildlife, including diverse range of bird species. Once a part of the Garden Station, the nature park has strong historic links with the early settlement of Central Australia. Camera – Nikon D50 / Lens – Nikon 70-200 VR zoom Greeting Card /
A lone ghost gum standing at the top of a tall outcrop at the entrance to Ormiston Gorge – West Macdonnell Ranges, central Australia.
This was a random shot of my friend walking by. / I actually really like the way it turned out. It was totally unintentional, lol. This girl and her sister are very energetic, in every sense of the word. This was taken on-campus at APSU, where, in case you couldn’t tell from some of my previous APSU work, there is a lot of spiritual activity. / It would seem that this was the case, yet again.
The trees in the foreground, are known as a ghost forrest. It is known as that because around 1960 there was a very large Earthquake, which droped the town of Portage by 15 feet, which cause the Cook Inlet to flow over the land, so the Salt Warter that englofed the land soaked into the ground and killed the trees. Taken in Portage, Alaska – 16 May 2009
