  • Photograph taken at Reynella, South Australia. Hiding underneath one of the old carts… sitting on pretty, pale blue eggs!

  • Resting after lunch under an old willow by the lake.

  • Swans are such posers!

  • Swans paddling about in the river.

  • Swans and other water birds flocking around the Popeye river cruiser. All gathered together on the River Torrens, Adelaide.

  • One of the three Popeyes cruising downstream towards the Torrens Weir with a flock of swans and ducks following closely behind.

  • Just beyond the jungle is the home of the snails, ants and millipedes! A well loved birdbath. It’s been glued it back together about four times, but it keeps falling over… maybe from the weight of all the rosellas, lorikeets, galahs, noisy miners and pigeons.

  • Hiding in the banksia tree with the big bad Banksia Men was this cosy nest. / The nest was so well hidden that I didn’t see it until the parent of the babies, who was a pigeon, flew away! She came back as soon as I moved away.

  • Finding a place to hide from these humans with the shiny silver thing they keep holding in front of them.

  • This adorable duck didn’t take long to find a safe haven for her last duckling. The park keeper said she had 8 ducklings at one time but doesn’t know where they went. (maybe over the hill and far away?)

  • A pigeon landed, saw the human with the silver shiny thing and flew off again. The five pigeons were circling many times over their huge home, around the pine trees over to the grapevines and back again. They then nicked off somewhere else, either hiding until I left or just for a rest. Once upon a time, before snails delivered the mail, we had carrier pigeons and they lived in marvellous mansions like this one!!

  • Some call this a dove cote, others a bird house or birdfeeder… I reckon it should be called a multistorey apartment building for the feathered variety! / It’s been in the garden of a local South Australian winery for over 20 years (when I last saw it). It hasn’t changed much in that time apart from being alot dirtier, the timber is aged and the paint is discoloured. But it’s really old and a brilliant feature of the Reynella garden (which now is mostly carpark).

  • A sketch of two birds having a chat on a cold winters day. You can also wear these friends everywhere you go… /

  • Feathered friends chatting in the wintertime, probably about the worm that’s poked his head out of the ground to see if it’s spring yet!

  • Bird and Cat are friends from way back. Handdrawn on paper, then redrawn with the pencil and wacom in illustrator.

To make them feel special all throughout the year ;D Also available… / Happy Birthday card / / Happy Christmas card in red / / Happy Christmas card in white / Artwork to decorate your walls… / / Tshirts with long and short sleeves, in all the colours in the Bubbles… / /

  • A sketch of two red robins having a chat on a cold winters day. These cute birds are the same as the ones called Feathered Friends and Red Robins with a Splash of Colour except they’ve got a new background. I recently received my cool bubble shirt with these guys on black and it’s amazing (if I don’t say so myself)... so I just had to put them on black as art as well.

  • What better gift to give at Christmas is there than the gift of Love? Also available… / Happy Christmas card in red / / Happy Birthday card / / Thinking of You card / Artwork to decorate your walls… / / Tshirts with long and short sleeves, in all the colours in the Bubbles… / /

Also available… / Happy Christmas card in white / / Happy Birthday card / / Thinking of You card / Artwork to decorate your walls… / / Tshirts with long and short sleeves, in all the colours in the Bubbles… / /

  • Why wrap presents with boring old Christmas wrap when you could use RB posters to do the same? A present and wrapping all in one!!! Slightly different to the cards as this has a heart in the bg as well as the stars.

  • Love to colour in? Why not ask Father Christmas for a poster to colour in on Christmas Day!! Similar to the Christmas cards and artwork, apart from the white image! Adapted from the Cat and Bird series I started earlier this year… one day I’ll have enough for a colouring in book!!! Then next will be animations with these two as the stars!! Oh the possiblities :D

  • Echidna had to share his tucker with one of his neighbours, much to his disapproval!! He didn’t want to share and flashed his spines and covered his food to say so. But Magpie came over just as soon as the human carer left a dish of food and wasn’t at all fussed by the spines or the fact that most of the dish got covered as soon as he had one go at trying to duck in to nick something. / I took heaps of photos, all showing the maggie either getting nudged away or the echidna shuffling around in circles over his dish (and eating at the same time… maybe its a girl cos of the great multitasking!!). Eventually, the maggie got a bit. I reckon the echidna must have been getting full… and we’re all a bit slower when we’re full up!! The maggie did a bit of a happy dance before flying off to the nest!! I reckon they were both friends… just having a game at lunchtime! Taken at Urimburra, Victor Harbor, South Australia… home of happy native animals, mostly rescued and definitely much loved.

  • A snow white peacock (albino) of Urimburra… very very shy and runs pretty fast. His feathers were so snowy white and he, like all the other animals and birds of Urimburra, is well cared for and content. I really like meeting happy creatures of our Earth, no matter if they’re wild, captive and tame.
