If you look closely (in the “large” view) you’ll notice that some of the black spots are actually ants. Summer 2007 – Rotterdam, NY / One of my girlfriend’s parents purchased a home that was owned by a Master Gardener and neither of them gardened. They asked me to come and tell them what their plants were, thin some out and feel free to photograph them. After a few hours, I had enough plants to fill half my garden and had filled up my photo cards, not to mention I couldn’t help but trim one of their trees while their backs were turned. I’ve only seen this Oriental Tigerlily at this garden and one other – both having been planted by Master Gardeners. I didn’t have the heart to dig any of them up. I had to lay on my back to shoot this as the blooms point downward.

Hi all, I’m going to see if I can do a flower pic for every letter of the alphabet. I’m already stuck on E.so if you know a flower that starts with an E that I can find flowering in australia,preferably flowering already or soon,please let me know.I’m also stuck onK,N,Q,U,X and Y. preferably vase type flowers but if I get desperate i’ll take bushes. LOL.

Yeah, yeah I’m cheating again but I can’t get my hands on a flower starting with Y. /

Firstly I took the photo of the rose with a black B/G. To darken it more I cut around it with the lasso tool went to Select-inverse then changed the colour to black in the foreground box and used the paint bucket to drop in the black.I then went to file-blank file and brought up the size I wanted. I changed this to black.I clicked on Rectangular Marquee tool and placed a box around the rose pic. Chose Ctrl C and brought up the blank box and chose Ctrl V. I placed the pic in this box with room down the bottom to add the flood filter.
