  • A view of the Himalayas with Mt Everest peaking higher than the rest in the background of the right side. Canon 400d + 18-55mm kit lens

  • While in Nepal recently, i visited a place called Nagarkot, which is renown for its views of the Himalayas. i got up early for sunrise in hopes of a clear day with panoramic views out to the Himalayas. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be, and the clouds were in to stay.. However, it let me get this shot of the suns rays shining through the clouds to the hills below. You have to work with what you’ve got, and sometimes, that’s not so bad. Canon 400d + 18-55mm kit lens

  • Here’s another view from a recent trip to Nepal. This shot is also from Nagarkot, like my previous post. Again, the clouds weren’t allowing the magnificent views to be seen, but were creating their own magical sights over the hills below. Canon 400d + 18-55mm kit lens Featured in Out of the Blue group / Thanks!

  • Hi everyone, Here’s a photo of the sacred mountain in Nepal named Machapuchare, or Fishtail to us foreigners. It’s in the Annapurna section of the Himalayas and peaks at 6993 meters. It is sacred to Nepali people and so is off limits to climbing. It’s summit has never been reached and the one and only attempt was in 1957 got about 50 meters from the top. • Here’s a shot of the Himalayas from my recent trip to Nepal.. you have to go there.. the place is amazing! i really like how the clouds in this pic seem like they are caught on the peaks of the mountain as they float by. Something about the colours also appealed to me enough so i decided to share it with you all! thanks for looking! Canon 400d + 18-55mm kit lens

  • I’ve just gotten back from my first visit to Tasmania, and well, what can i say?? It’s simply awesome! I did not know much about this small isolated part of Australia before i went.. But i know a bit more about the place now such as Tasmania is comprised of about 40% Reserves, National Parks and World Heritage Sites. It snows in Tassie in the middle of Summer! A white Xmas in Australia? i had no idea! Anyway, about the photo! This was taken in the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. This Franklin-Gordon River has some history. It was fought for by The Wilderness Society in one of Australia’s largest ever conservation fight. A dam on the Gordon River. Thankfully, it’s still flowing free!!!! On this day i was there, it was really flowing free, and that’s a beautful thing to see.. it was snowing up in the Mountains, the rain was coming down, Nelson Falls, was bucketing down that it was so hard to get a photo due to the spray coming off them! I managed to get a shot, and thankfully my camera hasn’t died due to water damage! =) That’s why i named this shot “Stormy Serenity”. It looks peaceful, yet, Mother Nature was actually putting on a wonderful show with an incredible backdrop. Going here really made me think about how lucky we are to have this amazing world around us.. i cant imagine how anyone would want to ruin it for a dam.. thankfully they haven’t but it breaks my heart to think of how many sights like this around the world that have already been lost for whatever reasons.. We really, really need to look after this planet!!!! Also, 100% of profits from this image will be donated to The Wilderness Society. Without them, the picture wouldn’t have happened! • Here’s a shot i took at Liffey Falls, Tasmania.. Such a beautiful unique spot, and fantastic waterfalls.. Apparently, there’s a division of opinions for which is Tasmania’s best waterfall between Liffey Falls and Russell Falls … unfortunately, i didn’t make it to Russell Falls so my opinion on the matter will have to wait… I can say though that Liffey is a must visit.. that’s my opinion :)

  • Here’s a shot from Liffey State Forest that i took while making my way down to the Liffey Falls.. Beautiful lush green ferns and moss covered trees.. so serene… Featured in Tasmania group / Thanks!

  • This shot is taken from a beautiful spot towards the very bottom of Australia. A lack of people and so much wilderness and wildlife! just awesome..

  • Here’s a shot of Bakers Beach, along the North coast of Tasmania. It’s part of the Narawntapu National Park. White sand and not a person in sight… my sort of beach!

  • Another shot of Liffey Falls in Tasmania, this time from a side on angle.

  • Here’s a shot of a cave in the side of the cliffs along Bruny Island, Tasmania. The dolerite cliffs dominate the coastline of Tasmania and are quite a magnificent sight to see.

  • Here’s a shot i took on my first visit to Cradle Mountain.. awesome stuff! I was lucky (i think anyway) to experience snow on New Years Day in the middle of Summer while there. Sure, it didn’t make for the usual crystal clear reflection images but it made for a good experience! My friend went swimming in -2 degree Dove Lake. I didn’t… Good times If anyone can help with the name of this waterfall, that would be greatly appreciated.. This was to the right of Cradle Mt as looking from the Dove Lake track. Thanks for looking!

  • Here’s a shot i took of the Great Wall of China… I was climbing the Simatai section.. I personally like this section the most as it’s mostly untouched, and still feels very historic, unlike a lot of the more touristy sections which remind me more of Disneyland than ancient China. A must visit place in my opinion!
