  • This image shows why Lions are seen as the King of the Jungle. Captured this image early one morning in the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa.

  • We found this male lion drinking early one morning in the Madikwe Game Reserve. He was very full from a kill the previous night and very lazy. We were able to get very close and I was then able to get this full frame image. I like the feel of the image in sepia.

  • This in one of 4 cubs belonging to the Ketametsi pride in the Madikwe Game Reserve. Mom was off hunting and we watched these guys for the morning.

  • We sat on the side as this female (right) and her two 1 year old cubs walked right by us on the road. They were very chill and I waited for exactly the right moment to get them in a well spaced row. Almost got all the front legs the same as well but they did not want to do another take. :) The image was taken in the Madikwe Game Reserve.

  • This coalition is unfortunately no longer together. The cheetah laying down was at the time of this image almost 14 years old, very fragile and passed away a few days later. The sepia tone of this image and the pose of the two cats almost conveys the sad message. Image taken in the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Arica.

  • Found this cheetah just as he was busy waking up for the day. Love the light in this image. Taken in the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa. 25% of all my Red Bubble profts will go to the Endangered Wildlife Trust

  • Found this guy late afternoon after he was sleeping the whole day. He did not want to get up so I had to try and get close and zoom in to get this facial close up. Image form the Madikwe Game Reserve in South Africa.

  • This is one of the dominant males in the Madikwe Game Reserve. When they sleep during the day you get lots of time to compose your shots.

  • Had to wait a while for this image in the Lion Park. Always an amazing sight!!!

  • This image aof a Male Lion was taken in the Kruger National Park. I felt that the black & white added nice intensity to the stare.

  • I was sitting watching this female as she was stalking wildebeest in the Madikwe Game Reserve. She slowly made her way up the side of a dam wall and that is when I was able to get this image. Love the angle of this image. (PS – Her stalk was eventually unsuccesful!)

  • This images was taken in the Lion Park outside of Johannesburg, South Africa. This male still has pride in his eyes even though he has been scarred from a long, tough life. Still a beautiful animal!

  • Is there not almost a human face in there somewhere? This sub adult lion was photographed in the Lion Park just outside of Johannesburg, South Africa,

  • Looks so peaceful. I photographed this female as she was sleeping on one of the dominant males in the Lion Park outside Johannesburg, South Africa.

  • Probably one of the most beautiful animals! In the Madikwe Game Reserve, where this image was taken, we do not get to see them everyday but when we do it is always special! This youngster (6 to 8 months) was up in a tree where mom had stashed the impala that she had killed. The youngster was up in the tree and did not have a stress in the world!! Amazing cats! 25% of all my Red Bubble profts will go to the Endangered Wildlife Trust

  • This image was taken in the Lion Park outside of Johannesburg in South Africa. I feel that the black and white intensifies the power and intensity of these beautiful animals!! Would love your comments,

  • This image take at the Lion Park outside the Johannesburg, South Africa. Gotta love the sie of the mouth!!

  • Close up of a male lion. Image taken in the Lion Park outside of Johannesburg, South Africa.

  • Love the soft feel of this close up of a white lion cub’s nose. This image was taken at the Lion Park outside of Johannesburg in South Africa.

  • A male white lion. Timing must have been slightly off, but I could swear he was winking at me! :) The image taken in the Lion Park outside Johannesburg in South Africa.

  • A classic image of a male lion settling for a nap. This image taken in the Lion Park just outside of Johannesburg, SOuth Africa.

  • I was nto sure what to make of this one. It is a close up of a white lion’s eye. She must have had some kind of pigmentation ‘issue’ as I could not see the same ‘pattern’ in any of the other white lions. Image taken in the Lion Park outside of Johannesburg in South Africa.

  • Plain and simple. I was sitting with a pride of 6 lions that have killed a zebra hoping to get some action shots. This was not to be the case so I spent some time with this young female. Close up you can almost see the ‘personality’ of these beautiful animals! Image taken in the Madikwe Game Reserve.

  • As I was approaching this young female she went into ‘deciding’ mode… Should she hold still, attack or run away. Ultimately she decided to stay put which left me with lots of time to get some great close up pics. This image taken in the Madike Game Reserve.
