I was out in the rain and a bush of these pretty deep veined geraniums caught my eye.
Perfect gift for those who love gardens, or owns a greenhouse.

I love this flower, It is one of our first wild flowers to appear and last all summer, it is such a beautiful blue colour and so dainty, nodding its little head in the breeze. / The flower is about 1 inch across.

A gorgeous coloured geranium with rain drops :)
In August, 2004, we were staying at a lovely B&B, when the rain came down in torrents one particular day, splashing so much on the windows it was hard to see outside. Thus it became a great opportunity to sit tight and paint a bright pot of geraniums that stood on a windowsill there. Watercolor painted on Arches 140 cold press, 8”x 9-1/2”

A water drop on an ivy geranium flower from my house :) / Straight from camera except for slight crop. Manual settings, manual focus, no tripod used.
I’ve always loved geraniums (pelargoniums) and I thought I’d do a still life of them, in my own style with added background :) I used Staedtler Fineliner pens and WH Smiths own brand of coloured pencils (as usual).
