This large fishing boat is taking a day off from the hustle and bustle of commercial fishing.
President George Dubya Bush has said some colorful things during his presidency. This series of T-shirts distills the essence of these quotes, ranging from the bizarre and surreal to the just plain dumb, into a number of stylish quotable quotes. ‘The past is over’ – well daaaar!

Dubya’s leading by example with egg on his face.

Nothing says it better than a LOLCAT with the President’s own cat Sox.
Here, on the same stem, we see the leaf starting to lose its vigour and colour. It has done its lifes work of providing nutrition and sustenance to the flower. Now, the creamy white rose is in the full beauty of its bloom. At the end of the stem is a new, young flower. In time, it will also blossom into magnificent maturity. Then, having fulfilled its destiny, pass into the shadows, as we all must.

One of Carl’s abstract masterpieces with some post editing for a creative touch. He simply places “things” around and when I come by for a shoot I see something different in his patterns when I come from a different angle. / / /

Sometimes you have to wait until the subject comes to you. I spent over an hour trying to get a good shot of this beautiful bird, but it was always asleep, hidden somewhere or mixed in with another bunch. Then when least expected, I turned around and there it was. I don’t know if it’s a peacock or a peahen, but it’s pure white and very lovely. Taken in Beacon Hill Park in the south end of Victoria,Vancouver Island,British Columbia, with a Fuji S100FS camera, May 3, 2009.
Been waiting a while to get this shot, as the square has been being renovated. I was at the original unveiling of the statue of Harold Wilson with Tony Blair and Lady Wilson, back in the late 1990’s. Single RAW shot processed 3 times, hdr’d using Photomatix and B&W conversion in Elements 6.
