One day, Dad / I’ll have hands just like yours / One day, Dad / They’ll be as strong as yours / One day, Dad / I hope to be a man like you / Loving husband / Caring father / These tiny hands of mine / So new to the world / Can feel that Love and Gentleness / Of a real man / And, one day / when you’re old and frail / These little hands / Will be there for you / The one who stood by me / If I could choose my Dad / It would still be you / For this I know for sure / I couldn’t have chosen better!
He was so graceful and came close to us. It looks to me as though he is smiling. Taken at the Atlanta Zoo Hope you enjoy. This photo is “As Is” I have done anything to it, not even crop it. Oil Pastel And Acrylic (With minor digital enhancements) Here’s Ophelia all dressed up for a party that she’s hosting! A party that celebrates all that life has to offer, both the good and not so good :D She’s wearing her new flower feather clips and a ribbon belt to adorn her waist. All who read this will be invited! A belief that Life is to be celebrated, not just the ups but the downs too. It is easier to give thanks and rejoice when things go well for us but can we still do the same when things dont turn out the way we want them to? In dry or in bountiful times, I keep reminding myself to count my blessings…to adopt the mindset of abundance and not of scacity. In fact, everyday can be a celebration of life…just take a few moments..and you will find that you are “richer” than you think you are :D You can view and buy my other “Celebration Of Life” products at my Zazzle Gallery:
You can always tell a man by his hands…they can be rough, tough and dirty…but if they are gentle enough to grace a rose, than you know you found a winner! Pentax K10D A beautiful poem written by Dalton Sayre / Clasped in hands so strong / Petals bright and sweet / In contrast to the mines / So dark and full of heat This blessing Gaia gives / To those who take time out / To stop and smell the roses / And love instead of shout So hear the plea I offer up / To cloud and sky above / As I kneel on Mother Earth / As gentle as a dove I thank you for your bounty / And all that you provide / For roses blooming up above / And the ore you keep inside I know how much you care for us / Although you bear our scars / For unto us doth spill the light / Of sun and moon and stars
The stamen of a Lillium growing in the garden. Loved the gentle orange colour of this flower. Canon 400D Sigma 100-300 macro lens finished in Photoshop CS3.

This beautiful lady is a pencil, ink and chalk pastel on a piece of watercolor/pastel paper. I have been working on her for a couple of months. I wanted to have her finished by my birthday this last Sunday, April 19th… so Saturday I called her FINISHED. I was experimenting on this piece with different layering techniques that I have used on a few of the other pieces that got uploaded here before her. This was so involved that I don’t know how many that I will do like this. But I am happy with her. She represents all of the women of the world who are now just ‘waking up’.

For Keely. (The spirit lives forever.) / / FEATURED I LOVE BIRDS group SEP 2009 / FEATURED ALPHABET SOUP OCT 2009 Pictured is a Black Swan taking off on Cherry Lake, in Hobsons Bay where we live on a late-Winter’s evening. These magnificent swans are an everyday year-long sighting around our neighborhood. nikon D70s / nikon 70-300mm / f/4.2 / 1/800thsec / post-editted and cropped (picasa and photomatix) For those unfamiliar with Dylan Thomas.. Do not go gentle into that good night, / Old age should burn and rave at close of day; / Rage, rage against the dying of the light. / Though wise men at their end know dark is right, / Because their words had forked no lightning they / Do not go gentle into that good night. Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright / Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, / Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, / And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, / Do not go gentle into that good night. Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight / Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, / Rage, rage against the dying of the light. And you, my father, there on the sad height, / Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray. / Do not go gentle into that good night. / Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
