  • The Origin

  • Deep passions of the heart and soul expressed as swirling reds and yellows from the primal id of the subconscious boil to the surface in a therapy session when a woman comes to grips with the death of her parents and emerging growth of her own children and how they must grow to leave her becoming their own lights and colors. The smaller flecks of color are the continuing influences of one on the other. If you look closely you can see her face in the image.

  • Surrealism. Biblical inspiration can always be found in the land of Bryce.

  • My interpretation of Genesis 11. Acrylic on canvas.

  • Macro shot of fibreglass repair work to the underside of the hull of a trawler in drydock. FEATURED in Abstract Macro Urban Art Group Nov/Dec 2008 / SOLD 16×20 framed to a friend renovating her home

  • Eve returns to Adam having eaten the forbidden fruit. / Acrylic on canvas. 38×36 in. this picture is a collaboration with fellow bubbler Jeff Schauss who painted a loose background on canvas so that i could then see what images would appear from the textures. neither of us had any pre-conceptions of what the image should be, letting the work develop into its own form was a breath of fresh air from my usual pre-planned assaults from sketches and notes. and so an image of eden emerged, in that critical interjunction between the fall of eve and the fall of adam, and the changing of humanity forever.

  • God’s Covenant with Creation. Genesis 8:22 (New King James Version) 22 “While the earth remains, / Seedtime and harvest, / Cold and heat, / Winter and summer, / And day and night / Shall not cease.” A canola field in the Barrabool Hills at Ceres, near Geelong, Australia. Pentax istDS camera. Please feel free to browse through my website: Phil Thomson IPA Photography I hope you enjoy the experience.

  • But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

  • This artwork was featured by RB group: / Flame Apophysis / Available in other formats HERE. / Other art available at my online gallery. The forbidden fruit, the apple, hangs openly and temptingly within the branches of the Tree of Knowledge. What wonders lie hidden within the universe? What earthly and galactic treasures await the adventureous? What discoveries will make the spirit soar? What is the price that must be paid – and is it practical or biblical? Of Man’s first disobedience, and the fruit / Of that forbidden tree whose mortal taste / Brought death into the world, and all our woe. / ~Paradise Lost, John Milton Design Art by Kinnally Featuring Giclee Art Prints / What are Giclee prints? / Beautiful reproductions of classic paintings / Beautiful Contemporary Art / How to Paint

  • This one’s been swimming around in the back of my mind for a while now but I couldn’t get it quite the way I want it. I’m still not 100% sure it’s perfect so who knows, I may fiddle some more later if I decide it’s not right! :) Five Apophysis fractals, no scripts, just manual fiddling and overlaying in PSP. :) These flames are all mutations of one another and as they went by me I thought it looked like a planet coming into existence, hence the idea of a planetal “genesis” artwork. Featured in All Things Poetic, Artistic and Philosophical Feb 2009 / Shining Star of the Week for this image in Bits And Pieces 28 Feb 2009 / Featured in Freedom To Shine 2 March 2009 / Featured in First Things April 10, 2009.

  • I’ve long loved the music of Genesis. This image is inspired by the classic song / Watcher Of The Skies / Watcher of the skies watcher of all / His is a world alone no world is his own / He whom life can no longer surprise / Raising his eyes beholds a planet unknown Creatures shaped this planet’s soil / Now their reign has come to end / Has life again destroyed life / Do they play elsewhere, do they know / More than their childhood games ? / Maybe the lizard shedded its tail / This is the end of man’s long union with Earth Judge not this race by empty remains / Do you judge God by his creatures when they are dead / For now the lizard shedded its tail / This is the end of man’s long union with Earth From life alone to life as one / Think not now your journey done / For though your ship be sturdy / No mercy has the sea / Will you survive on the ocean of being / Come ancient children hear what I say / This is my party counsel for you on your way Sadly now your thoughts turn to the stars / Where we have gone you know you never can go / Watcher of the skies watcher of all / This is your fate alone, this fate is your own The video above must be from ‘72 or ‘73, so is a little rough in spots!! / Made with Apophysis 2.08_3D hack / /

  • But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth. (Genesis 8:9 )

This artwork was featured in Dimensions, ImageWriting, and A Spiritual Walk Earth as it was long before people and sin arrived, sitting in pristine condition on God’s table. Recently I’ve had an abnormal fixation on death/resurrection, creation/armageddon, and the damage we as people inflict upon our beautiful planet. I’ve been writing about these topics alot these past few months, so naturally, they’ve transitioned to art. I think I have a new favourite… :) Stock Credits / Bokeh Background & photo used to create planet / Vase Brush / Foliage / Stock copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.

  • This is my homage to Neon Genesis: Evangelion, the anime series. If you haven’t seen it, you should check it out, if only for the fantastic art style/design and typography. This design is a re-creation, and slight re-imagining of an image of the face of one of the ‘angels’ in the show. Enjoy.

  • Another view of Genesis.

  • Inspired by the classic song by early Genesis w/Peter Gabriel / Return Of The Giant Hogweed / Turn and run! / Nothing can stop them, / Around every river and canal their power is growing. / Stamp them out! / We must destroy them, / They infiltrate each city with their thick dark warning odor. They are invincible, / They seem immune to all our herbicidal battering. Long ago in the Russian hills, / A Victorian explorer found the regal hogweed by a marsh, / He captured it and brought it home. / Botanical creature stirs, seeking revenge. / Royal beast did not forget. / He came home to London, / And made a present of the hogweed to the royal gardens at Kew. Waste no time! / They are approaching. / Hurry now, we must protect ourselves and find some shelter / Strike by night! / They are defenseless. / They all need the sun to photosynthesize their venom. Still they’re invincible, / Still they’re immune to all our herbicidal battering. Fashionable country gentlemen had some cultivated wild gardens, / In which they innocently planted the giant hogweed throughout the land. / Botanical creature stirs, seeking revenge. / Royal beast did not forget. / Soon they escaped, spreading their seed, / Preparing for an onslaught, threatening the human race. The dance of the giant hogweed Mighty hogweed is avenged. / Human bodies soon will know our anger. / Kill them with your hogweed hairs / Heracleum mantegazziani Giant hogweed lives / FEATURED IN GLOBES, SPHERES AND CURVES / Made with Apophysis

  • This is it. Taken in 2004 with a humble Sony Ericsson mobile phone late one afternoon on the French Alps, this is the breathtaking view that inspired me to explore the world of photography in the hope that I might find and capture equally incredible image We were the last group allowed to take the chairlifts to the top of the mountain. When we disembarked, we turned to face the run back down to the village and this is what we saw. The late sun was descending while a torrent of cloud swirled around the mountains. It was nature at its most exhilarating. The rest of my group saw this as a sign to descend as quickly as possible and set off immediately. But I knew this was a sight I might never experience again, so I pulled out my mobile phone, took the shot, and had one final look before donning my goggles and making my way down through the cloud. It was a moment I’ll never forget. • A digital painting based on a fractal. GENESIS / 1.Mose 1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. / 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
