  • Behind it all is surely an idea so simple, so beautiful so compelling that when-in a decade, a century, a millennium – we grasp it, we will say to each other, how could it have been otherwise? How can we have been so blind for so long? / – John Wheeler The Untapped Source Store – Portfolio/Blog – deviantART Shop / “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”

  • This tipi was made 10 years ago. It is still standing today. This is how some Native people of North America use to shelter themselves… I just love the traditional way… I find it beautiful.

  • The Beat Generation is a term used to describe both a group of American writers who came to prominence in the late 1950s and early 1960s, and the cultural phenomena that they wrote about and inspired (later sometimes called beatniks though this is considered by many to be a pejorative term). The major works of Beat writing are Allen Ginsberg’s Howl (1956), William S. Burroughs’s Naked Lunch (1959) and Jack Kerouac’s On the Road (1957)[1]. Both Howl and Naked Lunch were the focus of obscenity trials that ultimately helped to liberalize what could be published in the United States. On the Road transformed Kerouac’s friend Neal Cassady into a youth-culture hero. The members of the Beat Generation quickly developed a reputation as new bohemian hedonists, who celebrated non-conformity and spontaneous creativity.

  • I think it’s important to remember that whilst It’s good to celebrate living in Australia with all our diversities and cultures and freedom it’s just as important to acknowledge the ways in which we could change and grow. Saying “sorry” to the original Indigenous inhabitants of this country is the first of many important steps that must be taken in order for the healing of past and present wrongs to take place….when this is done we will truly be able to move forward and celebrate Australia day for all.

  • What is one of the greatest gifts we can receive, it is spending time with a person that loves us unconditionally. In the sharing of that love we end up lifting both of our spirits up, which causes us to be happier, healthier and stronger in the sense of peace we gain from the sharing of that joy!

  • Stolen at birth. / Exploration of the many children all over the world who have been removed from their family for what ever reason. / As with much of my work, the story is personally driven from my family history, but this one was also informed by the stories from a beautiful old English lady, an immigrant to Australia who was, along with her siblings, taken from her mother in the 1930’s. / It seems to be a practice that thrived both in the UK and continued on here for many many decades.
