I took this of the Amalfi Coast in Italy in 1999 on 35mm film. I then had the black & white film processed in colour. Photoshop has allowed me to play further. I love the romance of it.

The true secret to great shooting in Italy! Lots of Gelati and Pizza! Thats right, health nuts close your ears! It was my mission to find THE best Gelati in Italy. There was the combination of presentation, texture and sweetness. From a bag? Whah?! I would walk away. Home made?...mmm now we’re talkin! So who was the winner? Well, there was a sweet little shop off the main plaza in Siena, then there was this shop in between plazas in Florence, then there was the one on Lake Como with the cute teenage girl tending the family shop, mmm then Pienza, Volterra ….I don’t think I can play favs but the one in Siena had me back for thirds! The one in Florence let me buy at 9am- clearly they knew the extent of my requirements!
