this gang of Adelie penguins gave me a great opportunity for quite a series of entertaining photographs as they zoomed busily about their icy playground. This photo has become a symbol of connection and friendship among my own personal group of nearest and dearest friends.
Colored pencil illustration of a slightly crooked but delicious blue, green and pink cupcake! Wonderful idea for a birthday gift or for anyone who loves sweet things. Featured on the RB Home Page.

a series study.. because i loved the bundle of leaves i found on a walk..wrapped in worm thread. It has such a spiritual look and feel to it… i was fascinated by how it caught the light differently with every angle… the light source was just the late afternoon sun. / PLEASE VIEW LARGE

For the last few days I have had a vase of Summer Stock sitting on the table in front of me. The aroma is heavenly, with a spicey fragrance. Inspiration didn’t come until last night when the light of the afternoon sun began to fade and hit the flowers ever so beautifully. They were then mine to capture in that splendid moment in time.

laying still, talking fills / up my mind it won’t come out it’s better in there / can’t hurt you in there, friendship in check / with reasonable doubt it will work itself out / guess what I know, you’ll never know / I’m dying to tell you but my levels too low / you’re too good for me, so perfect indeed / so blind from the feelings that stay here with me somewhere in the doubt / emotion gets knocked about / secrets locked away / I feel you in the rain fast and then slow, how should I grow / still begging for guidance, which way should I go / feels like the snow, the winter it grows / so scared of the answers that you couldn’t know / feeling like led, sinking with dread / could I be someone, don’t think with your head / so hold it in, don’t want to give in / just need to know, tell me how to begin somewhere in the doubt / emotion gets knocked about / secrets locked away / I feel you in the rain / I feel you in the rain / I feel you in the rain -me

Zanskar 1984 Series Between Shingo Lal and Padum, the “capital” of Zanskar, centuries of farming have taken place. Not subsistence farming, as goods were traded, but intensive manual farming of hand-irrigated pastures. Long-held principles, such as rotation, followed without deviation, continued to produce healthy crops. Not much time to enjoy the “scenery” though. Larger view highly recommended! Olympus OM1, slide. Scanned at 4,000 dpi.
