This was set up in front of a restaurant as a kind of an “appetizer”, I guess. Mallorca These three images were selected by my wife to represent our trip. Though I objected (would want some with mountains or weather) she persisted. So I printed these, mounted them on black and nailed them to the wall in our living-room. I have to admit, they go together very well.
This is a garlic flower. I had to ask because I didn’t know what it was. Technical process… / All I did was adjust the contrast until the background disappeared.

Garlic is a part of the allium genus and is thus related to the onion. It is, of course, best known as a cooking ingredient used for its wonderful taste. It would actually be better to say “tastes” plural since it can take on a completely different taste depending on how it’s cooked – everything from a subtle sweet flavour to a strong almost overpowering one. I put it in pretty much everything! YUM-O

What you need: 2 cups bean sprouts / 2 red chili peppers – cut in small pieces / 2 cakes hard yellow bean curd / vegetable oil (for deep frying) / 1/4 cup dark soy sauce / 1 clove garlic Cut bean curd in cubes, fry in hot oil until browned on all sides. Drain on paper. Add beansprouts, chili pieces in a bowl. Add fried bean curd cubes in the bowl, grate garlic clove on the top, spoon over the soya sauce and mix it. Serve fresh
