Some trees in Thailand are highly revered, particularly if very old. Someone had placed a garland on the roots of this one and I thought it made a nice contrast.

Taken at Wat Pho in Bangkok, Thailand. This Wat was a large complex and the main attraction was the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. The grounds were beautiful and there were many of these smaller statues sprinkled throughout. The garland was a typical offering often seen at different Buddha images. I myself left one such garland at the chedi on the Golden Mount.
