A Newborn Fairy A Red Buble Member recently purchased The Dew Drop Baby and she left a message for me that I wanted to share with you… “I purchased this card for my friend who just found out she is pregnant with her first child. This is again, from a drive through the back roads of the Dandenong ranges in Victoria. I was just driving around and stopping to photograph things that caught me eye (I wound up lost too). This is a plot of land behind a farmhouse near Seville.

This was a beautiful place to be – when the children were there is became magical – every door opened wasn’t a garden it was the secret garden and we had to look for lepricorns and fairies and smell every flower and describe every tree.

It was formerly classified in a separate family, the Heliconiidae or longwing butterflies, and like other longwings it does have long, rather narrow wings in comparison with other butterflies. It is not closely related to the true fritillaries. It is a medium to large butterfly, with a wingspan of from 6 to 9.5 cm. Its underwings are buff, with large silvery spots. It takes its name from the fact that migrating flights of the butterflies are sometimes seen over the Gulf of Mexico. The Gulf Fritillary is commonly seen in parks and gardens, as well as in open country. Its range extends from Argentina through Central America Mexico, and the West Indies to the southern United States, as far north as the San Francisco Bay Area on the west coast. It is occasionally found further north in the US. I was extremely bored today and I wanted to do something creative so I found the bubbles and started blowing out in the backyard. It was a little windy today so it was a stupid idea but I couldn’t stop trying, I just wanted ONE ! bubble with some sort of reflection before it popped. It was a mess, dripping bubbles everywhere and dropping my camera around my wrist a hundred times and then POP…..too late ! but finally I got one I really liked ….it reminds me of a garden globe.

Our Delphinium petals fell into a puddle outside and I just thought they looked so beautiful and serene sitting there…
