Roses, Hydrangea, Perennials oh my! I have a thing for them. So much so that I tend to take more shots of them than I have time enough for editing them all. So, over the course of the next couple months of cold weather I’ll be getting to sorting through and editing those 100’s of photos and look forward to posting the best ones here – started last night. Some date back to July 2006 – can you tell I’m a wee bit behind?? It’s like cleaning out your attic and finding hidden treasure you forgot you had :)

Ello dearies / So it’s final essays and exams time. It’s been rather hectic, and the general mood is studious desperation. Last Sunday there was a casual group shoot at Fitzroy Gardens, met some lovely photographers and models, and even though the weather was not being all that cooperative it did eventually end up quite well. I’m rather extremely pleased with the results =D / / / / / /

Thought I’d share some photos I’ve taken and manipulated lately. Photography isn’t really what I’m about but I like images, texture and retouching as a way of keeping my skills up to date and creating fairly quick emotive pieces. / I was mucking around with 40s and 50s hair and make up the other day and wanted to document it. You might notice it’s now my profile picture, I liked it that much! I wish I could look like this every day :P

Below is part of an email I received, first thoughts Oh wow, second thoughts…is this a scam…. / It seems not and so I am pleased to say Golden Willow from the Chinese Gardens of Friendship in Sydney NSW, one of the very first shots I took with my new Nikon camera (which I bought in Sydney) is now listed on this web site, which is linking back here to my redbubble site…. / Golden Willow to me was a heart felt photo, I could see what I wanted to capture in my minds eye, I did not have the skill of our wonderful photographers here on bubble, yet I so could see it, so I shot it..and well I was pleased as punch that it turned out how I wanted…My goal was to one day paint this…and I may still do that, for now though it is reward enough to have it listed on the following web site… What follows is part of the first bubble mail I received….yes this image was found on bubble and now is listed on this web site along with a credit and link to me and my bubble site….not only will this benefit me and my art, it will also benefit the rest of our community here on bubble,....read on….cheers guys…work keeps me away from bubble in hours…not though in my heart….xxx Kym treesnpots treesnpots * Dear Kym, Please visit Chinesegardenscene.com I would like to feature your image ” Golden Willow,” / provide LINKAGE and credit you in the Great Wall of Honour. / / What started off as a wet start to the day, and not looking too good, the rain held off for the Zombie Shuffle. • What an incredible week!!! 5 features and 1 featured member!
    by Marita Sutherlin

The week is ending as mind-blowing as it began on Monday! Yesterday, “Country Heaven”: !http://images-1.redbubble.net/img/art/fra…

The week is ending as mind-blowing as it began on Monday! Yesterday, “Country Heaven”: was featured in ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPY and “Autumn Zen”: was featured in A GARDEN SOMEWHERE ....and just now as I am typing this, “Augenschmaus”: got featured in ALL OREGON USA . To top it all off I got my VERY FIRST FEATURED MEMBER yesterday on ANIMAL PHOTOGRAPHY – wow – a little much to handle for this shy little german gal here in Texas! LOL… Thanks so very much everyone! In the few weeks I’ve been here, Red Bubble has been such a rewarding and inspiring experience – the quality of work presented here is fantastic (and intimidating) but most of all inspirational. So thanks to all the great artists who display their best here at RB and thanks to all the wonderful new friends I’ve met, talented and funny and encouraging, and thanks to all my old webshots buddies who’ve really made me feel so much a home an comfortable on this site! I am just now starting to get into various groups – but that’s all a bit overwhelming, soo oo much going on, features, challenges, featured members etc, etc, and then SOOO many groups altogether, it’s easy to get carried away and loose sight of things and become a robot – don’t want that to happen! Putting on the breaks and trying to take it slowly – the most fun experiences so far have been the “chance encounters” with new friends, sometimes some friendly bantering, and friendly and heartfelt invites to existing groups- very personally rewarding too because you feel like you have more of a connection with the group and the members. Enough talking now – I totally forgot: YEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!! And thanks again ya’ll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dankeschoen!!! Marita
