I may become addicted to this effect….getting PS7 was a mistake I fear!! It’s fun to see what it does to different shots, although I did find out it doesn’t work with all shots. I prefer to post my pictures as I see them, with very little editing…keep it real~ original shot captured with a Kodak Easyshare Z612, edited with Photoshop7 and Redfield fractalius plug in

This is the center of a poppy flower. Gorgeous orange flower with a unusual center. It looked like a cake to me so hence the name. Uploaded 6/9/09 / Taken with a Canon XTI and macro lens.

Image taken Mondy (June 29th/09) in Mrs. Hunt’s back yard, New Westminster, BC Canada. Mrs. Hunt is well into her 80’s and alone, so her neighbours often assist her with watering the gardens, mowing the lawn and fixing the old white picket fence. She may be hard of hearing and suffers with poor eyesight, but her spirit to fuss in the garden over her poppies, lilacs, sweet peas & tomato plants each year never fades. She wastes nothing; uses her old broken wringer washer tub from the 40’s as a planter box as the centerpiece of her backyard garden. I find these rusted & peeling paint covered objects within her little piece of heaven very charming and often pop into the yard to photograph her flowers as they bloom, while she chitchats about going to the grocery store for a carton of milk. / This old wooden bench and it’s broken rust laden sprinkler friend sits quietly behind her garage while the early summer sun springs random poppies to life beside them. /
