An attempt at painting an image with my camera :). This shot is also available with a border.
This is my favorite photo of all! There is a wild red rose by my kitchen door. Late one afternoon, I was clipping tired blooms from the clusters; some clusters were hanging down. As I reached for this one to turn it over, a glimpse of gold flashed in the low sun. I looked again and discovered this tiny little frog napping in the heart of the bloom. I had only the negative and a small digital file from a scan, and it has taken me a month to get it into the appropriate high-resolution format where I can finally offer it for sale! This shot was taken in my backyard, just as this praying mantis was passing in front of a yellow mum !

I was extremely bored today and I wanted to do something creative so I found the bubbles and started blowing out in the backyard. It was a little windy today so it was a stupid idea but I couldn’t stop trying, I just wanted ONE ! bubble with some sort of reflection before it popped. It was a mess, dripping bubbles everywhere and dropping my camera around my wrist a hundred times and then POP…..too late ! but finally I got one I really liked ….it reminds me of a garden globe.

Nature so is much more complex, strong and amazing than we give it credit for! And at the same time, it seems like we don’t understand how fragile it is. 2/3-2008 Thank you so much for your kind comments on my work! Words can’t describe how much that means to me. / With love from Stina.
The strange and bizarre
A Sago Palm is not a particularly pleasant plant to look at, but the spring fronds when shot with a macro take you into a magical world.
