  • We have toadstools growing on the other side of the driveway! Fairy rings one side, houses the other! I’ve left food and other related things in the tags… it must be food for someone! It did have an ant crawling on it. I missed it though (obviously!!).

  • This is an original photograph.

  • Square photo of a warty blue pumpkin, so cute that I am thankful for it! It makes a wonderful card. I just learned that they call this type a peanut pumpkin. / __

  • I don’t think there is any other flower like a Rose, that can say so much with so little….and with that I will let the photo itself speak….

  • Watercolor painting of ripe tomatoes on the vine. Original painting is 8×10 inches on Fabriano 140 lb cold press paper.

  • Chateau de Villandry – a 16th century late Renaissance chateau in the Loire Valley, France…..famous for it’s magnificent gardens. The Loire Valley, with a great number of chateaux, is listed with UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. / / This recreated Renaissance garden at Villandry is like a tapestry changing with the seasons. / The gardens are on three levels. At the top, from where this photo is taken, is a water garden fringed with ancient lime trees, then on the next level down, a flower garden level with the chateau and then below that is the world’s largest ornamental kitchen garden. Eight full time gardeners maintain the gardens at Villandry. They raise and plant 60,000 vegetable and 45,000 bedding plants each year. / It truly is a delight to the senses. • Hibiscus flower from my back yard in Southern California

  • Memories of my garden in fall, three dimensional parts, hidden words and images, machine and hand appliques, machine quilted. This is actually a story about my hubby in his garden, battling the gremlins each season. The sunflowers are three dimensional as are the eyes of the raccoon, hubby’s socks and his hair.

  • Anchored securely to this earth, I keep reaching for you. My arms point like a compass rose, in hopes I can get a hold of you. When I do, I will hold you tight and never let you go. I will shield you from all evil, my canopy providing shelter as long as you need it. Trying out my new D300, I think I shall like this camera!

  • Poppies backlit by the morning light

  • Acrylic on 16”x24” stretched canvas / Original available My favorite vegetable is the best straight out of the garden. I used some artistic liberties in that I don’t grow this many varieties, but I decided it would make a better painting to show a variety of shapes and sizes.

  • A heaping wheelbarrow of potatoes from our garden. We only planted 4 rows about 20ft long. This is a least double what we got last year. Thanks to God for a bountiful harvest. / Taken in Winnipeg MB, Canada October 10th 2009 / Happy Thanksgiving!

  • From a series of illustrations I created a decade ago during the years I lived under canvas by the Somerset levels. Crafted with gouache, sable brushes and an old toothbrush. This was a piece directly inspired by my homelife and extended family at the time, and was used in the UK national broadsheet The Guardian in 2000 with an article on guerrilla gardening protests in London. Also by The Land Is Ours as part of their allotments campaign. Subverted for counter culture propaganda from the WWII Dig For Victory campaign.
