One day on my knees in the hot sun,
A short story of the joys and woes of a first-time gardener.
Green earth and the light mix a marvelous way / Restoring to earth life and breath.
I went to heaven to get God’s view of earth.
Why do flowers interest so many artists? Most important things for painter are color and line. Flowers as a part of nature have a wide variety of colors and shapes. They are beautiful and erotic. They accompany us all our life from birth to death. To see the full collection of my work, please visit my gallery at www.komarovart.com
I love cone flowers and they they seem to change their shape a little everyday. The Goldfinches just love to eat the seeds in the fall.
An orange poppy stands next to it’s brother the seed pod, before a green garden hose against a chartreuse house.

Another hellebore seedhead. This time lying on the ground with seeds freshly ripe awaiting their chance to begin to grow.

Thees grow all over my allotment, nice purpley blue flowers on statuesque stems that change into these oversized ‘Dandelion’ heads when in seed.
Hobart Botanical Garden’s, Tasmania
As the sun came out after a dull wet morning the raindrops on the shrubs glistened like diamonds. I was particularly struck by the delicate droplets here resting against the sharp points of the holly leaves. And I imagined how, at the slightest touch, the diamante droplets would vanish. This picture was taken, as other recent posts of mine, at a ‘Quiet Day, which included meditation and prayer walks around a wonderful private garden. / Although the garden was, typically for this time of year, looking the worst for wear, full of ‘dying’ plants and many that had shed leaves, I was struck by the promise of new life. The life-giving water and the seeds reminding me, yet again, of a glorious spring of resurrection to come. / Praise and Glory to God.
