  • A weeping willow reflected in a nicely manicured garden pond in the springtime. Blooming cherry trees and bradford pears in the background.

  • Blessed Mother statue in garden.

  • Mixed medium photograph of a Buddha sculpture in a garden setting. Post processed Lensbaby digital photograph: multiple blended overlayers of painted Asian papers and a scanned unaltered delicate Japanese washi.

  • These stones have Japanese Kanji written on. I found this one in a temple just by a pagoda containing Buddhist sutras. I`m not sure if they are written by the monks or by the locals and tourists who flock to this beautiful temple. !

  • Oil on canvas. Size 19” x 43”3/4

  • A robin under an old chair used as a flower pot.

  • I took this shot in my back yard :) The male cardinal is the state bird of both Virginia (where I’m at) and Ohio. It’s such a majestic bird, with a distinctive chirp _ I really hope you enjoy this picture. The only post production that was done was small adjustment of levels and contrast. I also added the black border, of course, to make it look more like a letterbox format. I think the black and red contrast nicely together. All comments are welcomed and appreciated. • Stronge light shafts bursting through forest foliage onto cascading Water. Wide angle long exposure capture using Gradient Filters.

  • After work I needed something to relax about. I guess we all look to get away from the stress. This is just how it turned out.

  • What lies at the end of this secret path? A quiet place to sit and reflect, a shimmering pool of sky blue water, an alter to pray at? You can decide. Make it your secret garden where you can pick your own happy ending…. The house, on the street side, is non-descript and on the “wrong side of town”. You would never imagine in your wildest dreams that paradise waited on the other side of the fence. Years of loving tending have made this secret garden into an amazing refuge from the world….beauty around each corner that you turn. A delightful place.

  • Last of the dandelions….

  • We spent four wonderful days in Japan, based in Osaka. But while we were in this wonderful corner of Japan, we toured not only that great city, but took the train to other places, such as Kyoto. / We made the most of our time, and soaked up the history and amazing archetecture, both in buildings (incredible temples, shrines and castles) and the gardens within which they so gracefully reside. / Seeing wonderful settings of true peace and tranquility as these made me realise how poor are our own attempts at creating oriental or Japanese gardens in a foreign land.

  • Each day brings with it the miracle of a new / beginning. Many of the moments ahead will / be marvelously disguised as ordinary days, / but each one of us has the chance to make / something extraordinary out of them. • The Hole of Horcum is a section of the valley of the Levisham Beck in the North York Moors of northern England, upstream of Levisham and Lockton. The Hole of Horcum is a vast, 400ft deep natural hollow measuring ¾ of a mile across. It has been naturally eroded over thousands of years by the action of springs, though a more romantic legend tells us that it was created when a giant named Wade, who was in fact a Saxon chief, grabbed a ‘handful’ of earth to throw at his wife, Bell – the soil missed its target and landed to form the 800ft high hill of Blakey Topping which lies about a mile to the east. Nikon D60 / HDR in photomatix / one shot, handheld / pp in PS CS3 / Lens: Nikkor 18-200m / 1/125 f/9.0 ISO200
