‘Friends Series’ TShirt by Karin Taylor One Spring Day is a mixed media production (ink, pastel, charcoal, acrylic) on canvas textured paper. I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

A blossoming yellow sunflower basks in the sun as it towers alone in the deep blue sky. When viewed at full resolution, minute details such as the hairs on the sunflower’s stalk and the occasional strand of spider’s web are visible in sharp detail. The large green leaves are translucent in the sunlight. the yellow petals surrounding the bloom like the suns rays twist and turn in sun and shadow. / The text reads “just doing my part to add a ray of sunshine to the world!”

An original Apothysis fractal which I named “Door to my Secret Garden” because it reminds me of the overgrown wall with the hidden door to the “Secret Garden”, one of my all time favorite stories. No secondary program has been used to alter this fractal.
