  • Traditional rolled galvanised iron roof sheet

  • The beginning of the Harcourt area bypass, some things had to go

  • Fences fascinate me. industrial objects are amongst some of the most fascinating and overlooked items. I was trying out a shot of the joint and wire and the drought backdrop of dried grass and leaves came out in ok bokeh. i love the texture on the original fencing, put up circa 1950’s at my house.

  • Photoshopped artwork – third in series

  • A collapsed galvanised chimney in an old quarry. The heat had burned off the zinc and allowed rust to set in. The colours and patterns caught my eye.

  • While out shooting in Fremantle on Saturday evening, one of my kids pointed out the reflected sunset sky in a window. We all took some photos of this window, and this was the best of the photos I took. / I love the contrast between the bright colours of the reflected sunset, and the dark colours of the corrugated iron of the building.

  • Went for a wander down a lane in my neighborhood and found some nifty texture and colour to photograph.

  • Photogenic galvanised wire nails. A whole heap of U shaped galvanised steel nails

  • Ruty iron on barrel at Cramond harbour, Edinburgh – straight from the camera. / Taken with Canon 450D & Tamron 70-300mm lens All profits from sales in 2009 will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support – http://www.macmillan.org.uk/

  • The doors to this barn, a lonely outpost on the windswept fens of Cambridgeshie have been forced open. Who or what did it? Was it someone or something? The wind perhaps? Whatever it was, it gifted me with a pleasing abstract. Canon 10D / 1/8th second at f22 (what WAS I thinking of???) / 15-30mm lens at 15mm / ISO200 Post processing: / Not much, really – minor curves and saturation adjustments, subtle lens vignetting.

  • This is an upmarket house made possible by the gold mining. It has been preserved by being lived in and should see many more years. Taken with Pentax LX camera and Pentax 28 mm shift lens on Kodachrome film.

  • This is the house we lived in from 1935 to 1942. It was a weatherboard house with a galvanised iron roof. You could hear when it rained of a night. It was a different colour and there were not so many trees around it, but a lot more trees on the hill behind. It is still occupied. Taken with a Pentax Z1p on Kodachrome 200 film

  • Riemst, Belgium / Panasonic G1 Have a look at my other photos. For example: / / Or browse through one of my categories: / animal / building / cemetery / church / damselfly / dragonfly / drop / fall / flower / france / insect / leaf / light / macro / nature / other / reflection / water / winter

  • A very decorative corrugated galvanised gardeners’ shed at The National Botanic Gardens, Dublin. Note the wonderful wrought-iron work on the rooftop (and the little broken piece in the window). Photography from Ireland. / Camera: Canon IXUS 800 IS

  • Detail of Corrugated-Iron Facade of Spittelau Incinerator Plant in Vienna, Austria, Designed by Eccentric Artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser

  • Taken near Sea Lake in Victoria.

  • Beechworth is a lovely town to wander around and look at old homes, in a large range of styles and sizes. This is one of the larger plain ones. Taken with a Pentax Z1p camera and Pentax 28 mm shift lens on Kodachrome 200 film.
