This is a montage of some pumpkin photos I took of a pumpkin Pop grew. It is meant to contrast the naturalness of the beauty of the pumpkin against the synthetic process of photographing it. It was all done in the paint and powerpoint programs, mostly cropping and duplicating.

I’ve got to keep these journal posts going, I get lazy and forget about it…. it makes it easy for my mum to keep track of what I’m up to Hi mum :) ...so on to Saturday, at Jo O’Brien’s residence. What a day. New friends, old friends, cameras, lights, ideas and blood. Jo and James did a superb job of setting up a great studio, and a super environment where everyone felt comfortable and safe. Friends of mine, Lauren and Seana were spending their first extended periods in front of the camera. Malia the marvellous on the other hand, took the opportunity to hurl herself around the room at a blistering pace. Hoolahopping, acrobatic falls, handstands (with bum drum playing), arguments with clown noses, dancing, high kicks and flipping off cameras are just part of the insanity she brought to the table. More and her, and her equally talented friend Jill in Part 2 Seana and I have gone to more than a few gigs together, and snuck in the odd picture or two. This was our first proper shoot as collaborators, and it went incredibly well. With more than a little art direction and blood stirring from Jo, I love the results / / / / / / fun! To take full advantage of the setup, my dear friend Lauren joined the fun. She is a stunning young lady, and looking to do a bit more modelling in the future.
