John Lennon played the Rickenbacker 325 ‘58 on most of the tracks on The Beatles Debut album, Please Please Me and since then many other guitarists have turned to Rickenbacker Guitars. / George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townshend, Brian Jones, Paul Weller, Johnny Marr, Noel Gallagher. And the man from Decca said guitar groups were on their way out….Looks like he was wrong.

I was down in Gallagher’s Canyon Yesterday along Mission Creek when I stumbled across these wild Strawberries that were growing in a meadow next to the creek. They were not very big but there was lot’s of them and they were so sweet and tasty. I picked about a pound of these tiny berries and had them with my ice cream last night. YUMMM! I’m surprised the bears hadn’t beat me to them.

This is the Footbridge across Mission Creek at the bottom of Gallagher’s Canyon. It is part of the trail system that runs along Mission creek from the lake shore to it’s present end, approximately 15 kilometers from the mouth of the creek. This trail system has been built through public donation and is one of the more popular hiking areas in Kelowna. Photo taken July 6/2008

Another tribute to King Rory (May he rest in peace). Ireland has turned out some notable artists but few can touch this Guy!!! For me he was the best Blues Guitarist of the lot – and pretty mean in a whole host of other disciplines too. Mr Rory Gallagher – one of a kind!
