For anyone at all interested! My DA’s take anywhere from 3-32 hours.Depending on number of layers and render time. First & foremost is the camera, I use a Canon S3 and a Kodak LS753 on my travels wherever I go, it could just be to the store,or checking the mail,the camera is always there. / I look for scenes that would work in a DA,it might be part of a snow bank, a hill, skyline, people, etc. / My main software is Artmatic Voyager & Artmatic Pro for renders + Photoshop. / Infini- D for building ships,space stations, buildings etc. I use Poser 6 for DA people, animals. Deep Space Explorer and Starry Night Pro which are software I use with my telescope, this for the REAL galaxies, planets, nebula,s uns , and star systems. The main filters I use are / Color Efex Pro 2.0, Sharpener Pro 2.0,Liquid,Mystical_TTC,plus on and off a number of other photoshop filters. I have 100’s of folders in which I have collected ( for the last 20 yrs) bits and pieces of photo’s and creations,everything from moons planets, seas,skies, nebula, star systems etc. Everthing I might need now or in future DA’s. I even have one with nothing but renders, sometimes I only use part of one or two or more in the same render. I like to think of my creations as jigsaw puzzles. I have one folder that I use for my workshop. I also use a Bluenose Wacom Tablet. I first select what I may use, everything is a COPY on a transparent background, then I build the shot, which can take up to 12 hours. / This could include renders, model building, people/creature making, etc. / I’ve being known to spend 2 days inside a single program, getting a certain sky,landscape or planet, until I achieve my goal. In some cases I have done a built over a day or so and ended up deleting it and starting again!. Mostly that happens when too many ideas colide. Once the build is to my liking I save all the layers into a folder, / ( I have had up to 66 layers so far) / then crop and save as a .jpg into another folder,then clear the screen and reopen the jpg. Now starts the path to the finished DA,I try different effects until I get what I want, the mist or fog in my DA’s is created using the Fog filter in Efex Pro, the nice thing about this set of filters is that the effect can be painted on and off just where it is needed. I use the Liquid filter, cloning tool and feathering to blend the edges of each layer, it also gives a nice paint effect,which I think adds to the DA. / Then I finally have the finished product. I will say this, i have always dreaded not knowing whats coming space wise, and Hubble to me wasnt good enough frankly, but this LBT can tell us and in advance! No fear now once its up and running in full operational mode. Your average binoculars like: Canon L IS WP (10×42) Binoculars, Yet LBT can see 5000×8400!!! / Just to give you an idea of how accurate these can see, they say they could put a soccer ball out past our own galaxy, and be able to easily read the manufacturers label! MWM: This long letter to humanity appeared with no apparent return address. It is being posted here and there. This is another Internet piece for which I cannot assess the validity. All I CAN say is that it sounds like a good idea, is coherent, and is written skillfully at a level of intelligence and maturity with I would associate with a serious, non-technical, matter-of-fact level of discourse. It is not ethnically loaded and the writer has a very good understanding of language and human psychology, though there are a few moments where the grammar is different than we are accustomed to and there are a couple of language errors. Most importantly, it makes no reference to impossible constructs, faux-tech, nor any type of religious or New Age buzzwords. This is as clean a straight-shooting letter, as you will find. Accordingly I am sending it to you to “vet” it and see what our Phoenix Five brain trust surmises about it. I am also sending it to you because it might be real. The main assertion in the letter is that human civilization is now in an uncontrollable free-fall implosion which cannot be “fixed” from within existing social systems. The implosion is causing, will cause a major rupture in all human orders. There is a dark road down toward the use of technology to rapidly enslave human populations in a badly degraded and unhealthy environment. Those who are defining this path, many of them unintentionally, have the greater advantage of power over resources and may gain the upper hand during the coming rupture. The Hubble Telescope is able to pick out an area of the universe equivalent to that grain of sand and photograph it. The process involves a million second exposure (try that and not fry your sensor!!) over 342 separate photographs and is called the Hubble Ultra Deep Field image. When the image was enlarged scientists found around 3000 galaxies… each have billions of stars… Just from an area the size of a grain of sand…. Astounding and very humbling. We are not alone… I just don’t believe we are alone.

Working on the top layer in the layer palette [make sure its highlighted, click on it if it isn’t] – click on the word filter [up the top], then on Pixelate, then on Pointilize – a window will appear. Set the cell size to 7 and click on OK to apply the filter. you now should have something similar to the image below / / Image after Pointilize filter has been applied / / / 5. Working on the same layer, select the eliptical marquee selection tool on the left hand toolbar. Set the Feather [up the top] to 40 pixels, and draw a selection like the one below by clicking and dragging the mouse on the image / / Eliptical marquee selection / / / / 6. Click the word Select [up the top], then click inverse – to inverse the selection, and press delete on the keyboard. This will remove all the dots and texture outside the eliptical selection. 7. Click on the word Image [up the top] then on adjustments, then on Levels – a box will appear. Change the settings to match that of the image below and click ok. / / / / 8. Click on the word Filter [up the top] and click on Distort, then on Twirl. Change the settings to that of the image below and click on OK. / / / / Your image should now look similar to the one below. / / / / 9. Now click on the word Edit [up the top] then click on Transform, then on Distort. This will place lines and points around your image. Drag the bottom right corner point upward and to the right until you get something similar to the image below. Once you are happy with it, hit enter on your keyboard to apply the effect. / / / / 10. Use the move tool over on the toolbar on the left to move this layer into the centre like shown below. / / / / As you will see, you now have your galaxy and all we need to do now, is add some life to it. / / 11. Change the foreground colour to a very light creamy yellow and click on the paintbrush tool in the toolbar over on the left. Set the brush size to about 250 with ZERO Hardness and the brush opacity [up the top] to about 75. Click the brush on the centre of the galaxy once. Now reduce the opacity to 25, click the mouse slightly to the left of your last click position, and then do the same to the right – this will give a disc shape light in the centre of the galaxy. / / 12. Now click on the Dodge tool over on the left toolbar, Set the brush size to 75, the Range to Highlights and the Exposure to 60. Now drag the mouse from the centre of the galaxy in outward spirals to create the galaxy trails. Finish off by adding a little dodge to the centre of the galaxy to brighten it right up. / / 13. You now have a fihished galaxy which you can rotate to suit. Once you have the position you want and are happy with all the brightness, contrast etc, to finish click on the word Layer [up the top] then on flatten image, and then save your file. / / It should look similar to this after you have rotated it etc. / / / / You can have a different colour galazy by changing the foreground and background colours at stage 3 of this tutorial, and can have different shapes by changing the amount of dodge and rotation at the end. / / The one below was created using light blue and purple instead of black and white at stage 3, and a lot of dodge applied at the end. / / Hope you enjoy, and I would love to hear how you get on. / / Jul

I have an improved and better formatted version of this tutorial in my wordpress blog. This tutorial will cover the development of my image Milky Way from Apollo Bay using a Canon 350D, a wide angle lens, Adobe Photoshop and an image alignment program called hugin. For this to be repeatable you must be shooting with clear dark skies, free from light pollution. I used settings of Tv: 20 sec, Av: f/4, focal length: 17mm and ISO speed: 1600. A shutter release cable is also a great tool and can keep your camera clicking as it sits on the tripod. The more images taken, the better for the final result, because this will improve the signal to noise ratio that plagues digital sensors during long exposures. A tracking mount is not necessary with a 20 second shutter speed because the rotation of the night sky is undetectable at such a wide angle. Please read the following steps for more information. All images are hyperlinked to larger sizes. 1) Download this zipped folder containing four of my unaligned shots of the Milky Way. 2) Load them into hugin_0.7_beta_4. 3) Manually align images with control points – don’t automatically align. I aligned three images to a common one. Enlarge the screenshot for details. 4) Click Edit – fine tune all points. 5) Click View – preview window. 6) Click Center and Fit buttons to achieve this view. 7) Click Edit – Optimise. 8) Click Stitcher – image format – multiple tiff . Final screen before clicking Stitch Now . 9) If you don’t want to worry about learning how to align the images with hugin, then you can download this zipped folder containing the four prealigned images of the Milky Way. 10) Load each image onto a new layer in photoshop adjusting the blend mode to screen which is good at lightening images without lightening the darkest areas. 11) Add a medium contrast curves layer. 12) Add colour balance layer: shadows (-90,-25,-10), midtones (-15,-5,-20), highlights (0,-5,30). 13) The final result For comparison’s sake, shown below is a typical accompanying jpeg to a raw file I began with for one of the individual images. I used Adobe Camera Raw to extract the jpegs provided in step 1 for processing. In closing, I’d like to point out this is not the only way an image like this can be captured; there is myriads of possibilities. I have developed this simple and inexpensive method by just experimenting with the tools at my disposal. Comments are welcomed. This is to those who still think with Neanderthal Minds about what I create, “computer art”. / When people learn I’m an artist I am asked what medium do you use, as soon as I mention the computer, I’ve lost their interest. To them if its created on the computer, then its not art. / And I like viewers to critique my work, both pro & con, but please let it be on the art itself, not on the choice of brush I use, and if you don’t get pleasure from what I create, then please view it and move on, its not for you. When we think of ancient art we think back before recorded history when Pro-Magnon was standing in caves and drawing pictures of the futures of his/her imaginations in pigments. / A giant step up from the scratching of Neanderthal Man. / But if truth be told we have come full circle yet again, we still “squat and stand in our caves” and use pigments on our walls. / Now our caves are what we call “modern” our “walls” are canvases, boards, papers, and in my case and many like me, the computer screen. / But to my way of thinking we are still the “ancients”, for in a few thousand years we will be considered ancients. / Our art will be viewed as “primitive” computer art but still art. / This is my choice of genre. / The ancients depicted our solar system and planets as they were imagined in their minds, this is what I and the artists of the “scifi” genre try to depict, as the other ancients imagined, so do we. And will those same future beings view our work and say” did they once visit, were they there before and the knowledge as been lost” / Many in the art world and elsewhere view what we do as nonsense, yet all “art” of our age,whatever genre, as being done before and is really based on ancient art. The human mind is a vast storehouse of imaginings past down through the human “gene” pool over the eons, how each individual uses it should not be considered nonsense or fiction until it can be proved what we depict on our cave walls is not how other worlds look. Alien Abduction…..not. Not that alien abduction wouldn’t have been nice, but they didn’t take me, I don’t think they had the time that day, worst luck. / Although maybe not, you may ask what they looked like, these aliens, but I never saw them,but I did feel an alien presence in my mind. / They didn’t ask me what planet this was, but they probably knew, and I’m sure they left something behind….... I keep getting these strange visions of alien worlds, and space scenes beyond Earth, and the visions become creations and sometimes there are descriptions of where these places are…................. So I guess in the few seconds they had, they filled my mind with these visions and stories, and they must want me to share this knowledge with the rest of humanity, and that they picked me,.........what an honour. I wonder, if the were so intelligent, why they didn’t know that the images would only be seen by a select few, and not all of humanity. But maybe they really did know this, and the select few who view them and enjoy these creations will be the catalyst to bring them to the rest of the human race. But probably not!! Still, I’ll keep churning them out, there are so many in there, often a vivid imagination is a curse, but I think in my case its a wonderful gift. So its a good thing they were in a hurry, or they would have taken me, like they did to so many others, anyway wherever they are out there, I thank them. I celebrated this to be my 36th year on Earth. For the first two thirds, I found it very hard to be here. Through healing meditations and allowing creativity to flow through me, I’ve grounded myself with knowledge of learning what I am suppose to learn, in search for my purpose and making footprints to last for eternity. I’ve learned there are like minded individuals who resonate with me and I’m fortunate to have these special people in my life who contribute to my constant learning, growth and development. Aside from my family who is priceless to me, there are people who enter my life with messages to deliver, fun projects to achieve and whether they stay in my life for short or long time, all have impacted me and my life with a deep meaning and for that I’m very grateful. I’ve always been on a highly sensitive side, though later in my years came to a realization that I am in fact an Empath and special. I’m a passionate human not only physically and emotionally but also spiritually and what I mean by spiritual is not necessarily religious. I feel connected to Mother Nature and mankind on a level beyond the obvious. I love being in nature and listening to the birds sing, smelling Earth’s fragrances and even watching and listening to the rain with lightening all around. I actually do stop often and do smell the roses. I also love watching people and talking to people, yet find it very therapeutic and refreshing to be alone and listen to my inner thoughts. One of the most important aspects of realizing I am in fact what I am is by having the ability to sense people and their inner feelings and thoughts, which are often evident by my own mood alterations without explanation as I absorb this sensation. Let me clarify this, I am not moody but sensitive in terms of receptive and aware not fragile and thin-skinned. I’ve learned that I resonate on a wavelength that allows me to tap into other energy sources I’m surrounded by and sense the vibrations that are undetectable by the naked eye. This can sometimes be challenging to filter and control as people are so different and the space is filled with countless dimensions, wavelengths and vibrations. This explains my broad-minded perspective and interest in various cultures, arts, and people in general. It also explains why people, children and animals are drawn to me like a magnet as my personality is filled with light and genuine care. I find it very intriguing to study this phenomenal, since I’ve learned that people’s faces and their façades does not often match their inner thoughts and feelings. Does this mean they are fake? No, I think it simply means they do a great job on hiding their feelings, stress, worries, sadness, secrets, illness or whatever they don’t want to reveal or are not ready yet to reveal to the rest of the world. I often find myself ask my friends, “Are you ok?” if I find the feeling I get does not match the face they give me when we are speaking. Many times they are surprised at my accurate definition of asking this and I don’t offer what I know though allow them to tell me what is the matter, as it is often more healing to the individual to let things out willingly then to pull it out of them. I’ve had people tell me that I would have made a great psychiatrist since I acknowledge my ability of listening well to others. I don’t like to offer opinions often but rather help the individual brainstorm and let them come to their own conclusions. It is after all their choices that unfold their life. Throughout the course of my youth and teens, I’ve known things that are unexplainable to me even to this day. They come to me in deep meditations and my dreams. Events which become reality, predictions that happened to the exact day of event and many other things that I am unable to mention in this limited human language though feel it at my core and centre of my being, are so very real to me. I can say that I am more aware then ever before of what love, life and living are about and what living in the moment means, to me anyways. What does it all mean when time stops for a moment and everything becomes still or in slow motion? I believe it means we are on the course we were set or chosen for ourselves and everything is, as it should be. Many experience this feeling in a short but defined sensation as Déjà vu and that is my daily living. I have many through the course of a week, from which few are very profound. I am connected at the source with life, plants, animals, rocks, insect, humans and the vast universe sensing beyond dimensions all that is within. I simply find pleasures in life’s bountiful beauty and show respect to both people and nature. Being a loving and compassionate person can be overbearing on others as my genuine love and carrying may appear to feel overwhelming sometimes. Again, it is what I am 100%. The one person I can thank for my Empathy is my grandmother. She is one of a kind soul that is connected to me at a level I cannot even begin to describe and I get my gifts by DNA. It is an inharrited trait genetically and that is just fine with me. I’ve always had a knowledge that I was different in terms of sensing people and my grandma reasured me it was alright to be kind and loving, despite what other do or say to me and how they treat me or make me feel. My ability to sense beyond my 5 senses has never steared me wrong and I rely on it like I do on listening, seeing, smelling, etc. I rely on this energetic vibration with my life and I believe it has actually saved my life on few occasions. Life took a complete awakening turn for me the day I became a mother. The day I held my first born in my hands, became a solid foundation and a bookmarked chapter to my human transformation as my tears of purest joy bathed my child’s precious newborn face. I felt slowly transforming over the course of the 9 months, expecting though never knowing how profound this moment would become on the day my baby arrived. The purest and unconditional love that is born at that moment is above and beyond words. A mother’s connection to her child is one of a kind bond filled with all emotions. Everything multiplied by hundred for me over the next few weeks after my daughter’s birth. My dreams became more visual, colourful and vivid, more clairvoyant conversations with my guides have more then multiplied and my healing abilities surfaced at last. Healing abilities? Never in a million years I would think to be capable of such things those which I only know am capable of now, though had to accept them as my gifts and abilities only to embrace them. At first I was afraid, thinking this unknown and unexplored thing I was dealing with was not only taboo in terms of blending in with the rest of the society, but also what am I to do with it. The first time I healed my daughter, she was only a small babe at about 6 months or so. She had sniffles, a minor cough and slightly elevated temperature, nothing major. I held her in my arms and rocked her to sleep in the oversized rocker in her nursery. I gently caressed her precious body from head to toes along her back and I felt a surge of energy connect us at the source of existence. It was a surreal feeling and a very remarkable one. Moments after I placed her down into her crib as she slept so peacefully, I felt nauseated and very tired to the point of having to lay down with unexplainable fatigue. I woke up with a slight fever, sniffles and basically a cold she had the night before. To my surprise she woke up refreshed with no sign of the cold, not even sniffles. At the moment I didn’t think anything of this, until the events happened again, again and again with multiple times repeating over the course of nearly 3 years before I had to come to terms of what was happening. I was in fact healing my child and absorbing all of the illness into my body, while cleansing her free of the nasty bug. As a human, I fought my mind into believing it was true though after so many times and the fact she never even had a cold nor was ever on any antibiotics like all the other children & infants I known, I had no choice but to accept what was happening. My healing touch as I call it is something I share with only my children, and they not very often have a cold for more then 24 hours. Now me on the other hand, I have to perfect my method of not absorbing the illness but to channel it through me and out. This is one of the reasons I was ill so many times this year and my body took a butt kick. Healer, heal thyself! It is something I heard in my thoughts and cannot pinpoint where or how, perhaps in a dream though it is true. I’ve been learning techniques to connect into the pillar of light for cleansing and protection from Earthly invaders. Yeah, I know to you it probably sounds more like DO-DO-DO-DO! There are no explanations for what we as humans are capable of achieving, though I know as we evolve, this new generation of children on Earth are more special then the generation before. We are becoming more aware, alert and awaking to the possibilities that there is more to us then what is obvious by our physicality. We are in-fact beings of light and energy and that energy is what drives the vessel we each occupy. Our human body is designed only to sustain and survive on this Earth, as the others are on other planets and in other galaxies. Yes I do believe there are other worlds and civilizations just like ours. The universe would be a huge waste of space. Or fate is in the power of our thoughts and mind and is in every human organism, our mere visions and mind set makes life happen, whether predicted or manifested in what appears to feel like trial and error. Life unfolds and is so perfect yet unpredictable, it is precious and one of a kind. I’ve had to entertain the thought that my visions are in fact my future manifestations as the numbers only increase with my daily living. Are they one of a kind and both the same? Perhaps! I’ve learned this in the last couple of years through The Law of Attraction and The Secret that my mere way of thinking weather positive or negative actually makes things happen and ultimately influences and alters the outcome. Our destiny lies within the power of our thoughts and that I know is true. In the last 12 years, I’ve learned to love my life, my mind, body and my soul just as I love mankind. I’ve learned tremendously to appreciate life and I am no longer afraid to live and don’t find it difficult to be on Earth. I embrace life and find humour in the challenges and surprises the universe unfolds each day, no matter how hard or difficult they seem to be they are what they are. There is usually a great lesson to be learned with all those emotions that don’t make us feel very good. I do my best to laugh daily and find pleasures in the simple things I see and do. I am highly adaptable in everything I do and pursue and the fact I am highly artistic, poetic and have a high degree of imagination does not surprise me one bit. In fact in only confirms on the fact that I am who I am and I am an Empath. Namaste~
