by SmoothmuleTucker is our first mule foal by our new jack, Five Hills Bocephus. His dam is my registered Missouri Foxtrotter mare, Gunner’s Fancy Yankee. Fancy is by Gunner’s Pride. There’s nothing like a set of long ears gracing the pasture in early spring.

I haven’t learned this guy’s name yet because there are three horses at Ten Oaks from the same “family.” The barn owner owns one of them and a boarder owns the other two. All are spotted and look so much alike but I’m sure I’ll eventually learn to tell them apart. This one especially since he’s a bit of ham and camera hog:-) /

Today I was going to go for a ride on my Icelandic Mare Dyfra, on my small farm in NW Oregon. However, Nari the fixed Maincoon that we brought home from the local shelter over a year ago had different ideas. / She thought nothing was warmer than soft Icelandic horse fur under her paws, so she made herself at home. You can see how content she is laying on my Icelandic mare’s back. / There will be two photos in this set, this is the second and was taken with my Evolt 510 camera.
