STALKING TIGER Slowly through the grass / The tiger stalked his prey / His movement long and languid / In the middle of the day / The sun was high and bright / As a vivid burning orb / His body moving slowly / Less heat there to absorb / Gazelles were moving fitfully / Around the waterhole / Nervous eyes were flitting wildly / As the world they did behold / A movement in the distance / And the animals did jump / The nerve ends all a jangling / Each one with quivering rump / Then like avenging angels / The tiger now does pounce / Gazelles are scattering wildly / With a death like spinning dance / And one of them is slower / No longer held at bay / The tiger now triumphant / As it finishes its prey Phil Sanders (aka Brummieboy) / 5/4/07 Thanks for the wonderful poem Phil!
Here’s one I took today of Maggie at the beach. She’s our 6 month old Labradoodle who’s eyes are so much wiser than than her 6 months!
My cats, Duke and Daisey just loved lounging under the Christmas tree last year. Duke loved climbing in the tree, too! LOL!
After we carved the pumpkins for Halloween, we put the bowl of “guts” and seeds on the deck. This little squirrel was so happy, he smiled for me!

Our bears were joined by a friends bears – our friend’s bears are younger than ours.
My loyal friend, companion and footwarmer!
This is the bear which Udon(my chow chow puppy) is passionately in love with right now….Estella is her name. Udon will smile his brightest smile whenever he sees Estella and wants to play with her(or tear her apart, not too sure)...I have to keep her in high places just in case :D / /
In it contains all the well wishes and blessings for my friends! Here is a little poem which I love very much, it expresses the spirit behind Christmas in such a sweet and meaningful way! :D The Joy of Giving Somehow, not only for Christmas, / But all the long year through, / The joy that you give to others / Is the joy that comes back to you; / And the more you spend in blessing / The poor and lonely and sad, / The more of your heart’s possessing / Returns to make you glad. Udon sleeping beside his favourite doll, Estella :D He really has strong affections for her…..maybe she reminds him of a cream colored female chow chow? :D

What would I do without you, / My precious, furry friend? / Part mischief, but all blessing, / And faithful to the end! / You look at me with eyes of love; / You never hold a grudge . . . / You think I’m far too wonderful / To criticize or judge. / It seems your greatest joy in life / Is being close to me . . . / I think God knew how comforting / Your warm, soft fur would be. / I know you think you’re human, / But I’m glad it isn’t true . . . / The world would be a nicer place / If folks were more like you! / A few short years are all we have; / One day we’ll have to part . . . / But you, my Friend, will always have / A place within my heart. by Hope Harrington Kolb
