  • This image was taken at a friends home, same place that some of you may remember from “Silent Night” or “Sound of Silence”. She has a great art and antique collection, her home just screams to be photographed, (she painted the painting over the fireplace). I tried a little something new with long exposures and LOVE the ghost like silhouettes. You have to view this in large format to see them!!! And there are no ducks in this shot! • And the Raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting / On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; / And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon’s that is dreaming, / And the lamplight o’er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; / And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor / Shall be lifted – nevermore!

  • The Stag was once drinking from a pool and admiring the noble figure he made there. “Ah,” said he, “where can you see such noble horns as these, with such antlers! I wish I had legs more worthy to bear such a noble crown; it is a pity they are so slim and slight.” At that moment a Hunter approached and sent an arrow / whistling after him. Away bounded the Stag, and soon, by the aid of his nimble legs, was nearly out of sight of the Hunter; but not noticing where he was going, he passed under some trees with branches growing low down in which his antlers were caught, so that the Hunter had time to come up. “Alas! alas!” cried the Stag: We often despise what is most useful to us
