Closeup of the group of fungi found on my hike today.I think the red may be pollen from another plant.
Abstract of fungi threesome. / Ok, I know abstract’s are not really the groups subject, but I couldn’t stop taking photos of this fungi group and then decided to have a little fun with it. / Somehow it reminds me of a bride late for her wedding and running down the street. Ok, now maybe I’m oxygen deprived, crawling around in the depths of undergrowth. Thanks for looking.
In the moist coniferous forest of Fundy National Park in New Brunswick in Canada fungi of many colours can be found on the forest floor. This bright yellow fungi stood out against the light green colour of the moss covered floor.
This bracket fungus is so soft and velvety, it was difficult to get it in focus, I think because of the refraction of light from its velvety sheen. Looks better in real life. I just love the rings.
Photograph of mushroooms/toadstalls (?) taken on Salisbury Plain near Tidworth, Wiltshire.
