My Favourite part of my garden taken in May 4 years ago!! PLEASE VIEW LARGER.
I believe these to be Clustered Bonnet fungi. / There were dozens attached to an old leaf litter covered rotten log. I managed to isolate this pair by almost burrowing into the ground for a good viewpoint (LOL). Tripod mounted camera, remote release and mirror lock up used. Many thanks for looking, Nick
the wonderful Ganoderma Lucidum…or Reishi Lingzhi. a medicinal fungi that is found growing on the side of trees…........usually Oak /

This little is deadly and laughing to no end because he knows what’s next for the person that took a bite off him.
Image taken at Oldina forest reserve. This one is amazing. It looks a bit like a city build onto a mountain
Taken on my recent trip to Tassie, being autumn the fungi were out in force and I saw more different varieties than I’ve ever had the pleasure of observing before. To view other work in this genre check out my Flora gallery. For more Tassie shots check out my Tasmania gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society
Delicate fungi (Coprinellus disseminatus) growing in the soft glow of a rain forest, Mt Field National Park, Tasmania. Placed in the top ten in the ‘Dainty’ challenge of the ‘Mood and Ambience’ group and second in the Fungalicious Black&White image challenge.
Macro shot of mushroom or fungi showing exhuberant growing… it is so pretty it caught my attention. Canon EOS 40D canon Lense 28-135mm IS / daylight /
Another shot of my pet mushroom patch at the lake. I go up there every couple of days to check out what has popped up. Today I found these two white beacons growing in the moss. / These are tiny! Shot with my Olympus e500 / 50mm macro and 25mm extension tube / / Added this shot to give you an idea of scale, yes thats a 5 cent coin /
When I lived in Wijk bij Duurstede, a small, but beautiful town in the Netherlands, I had several plants in pots on my roof terrace. In one of these pots grew a tree. In autumn there were fungi in the pot too. TOP TEN PLACEMENT in the Fungilicious Group in the Fungi and moss Challenge 23 October 2009 / FEATURED in “Fungilicious” september 2009 / FEATURED in “BACKYARD MACRO & CLOSEUPS” august 2009 Camera: Kodak DX 6340 DZC
The Scroom King reigns in all his glory. / He was found at the edge of my lawn hiding under a fir tree.
Ok…duet and a dude under the light. / I plucked these at my local park, brought home, and started doing a photographic study of them. Then, noticed the cute little fellow under the cap. / I still have NO idea what kind of mushrooms they are? But they were beautiful. / These are the same ones from / ‘and on the third day’..........
Here’s another shot of my Mushroom Tree, taken in McDowell Creek County Park. I’m not a mushroom fancier, but these fascinated me. They just start growing out of the trunk horizontally, but then the stems bend upward 90 degrees to reach for the sun. Isn’t it incredible the way they just stack one on top of the other? / McDowell Creek County Park, Oregon, USA
Goois Nature Reserve – Bussum – the Netherlands There were just so many fungi that morning, in so many different shapes, colours and conditions – and I felt I had to portrait each one of them :) On a fallen tree, I found lots of these brownish-white, slimy fungi, brilliant in the sun… A fly found it a nice place to have a little break in the sun, seemingly :) Photograph made with Pentax K10D camera and Tamron 70-300mm Tele-macro1:2 lens Because of the beauty shown in this picture: / SAFE and PROTECT our woods and natural places! / Comments and feed-back always welcome. Thanks for looking :) See all of my Fungi pics here / Natural levels and curves
This fungi had big holes in the top. Some animal must have really like it. It was also bruised on some places where the Fungi had turned a greenish/blue colour. Very interesting. / Click here to view Fungi Gallery with over a 300 Fungi images.
