Version one of groups are live here. We see them as the villages within the RedBubble universe. They are organized around a subject, style or a social community on RedBubble. They can be a single-genre (eg macro-photography) or multi-genre (images plus words). They can be designed to promote excellence, as a place for learning or for more social and fun purposes. / Some basics: Groups are administered by an owner who has the ability to reject works or even delete members from the group if they are not in-line with the guidelines or purposes of the group For the moment all groups are open – i.e. anybody can join a group – and submit a work; so please respect the guidelines for the group To join a group simply view the group and click “join” To add work go to My Bubble and find the image or written work you want to add ot a group and click “edit”. You will see under the work a list of groups to which you are a member. For the moment images and written works, but not journal entries, can be added. Simply click the group/s which you want to add it to. If you want to remove a work just reverse this process To form a group for the moment you will need to send an email to earswideopen@redbubble.com with the proposed title, description and the image you wish to show (it should be an image on RedBubble). Group functionality will be evolving … so watch this space.

This is a piece of a quilt using complementary and contrasting colors, textures and images. I use a variety of fabrics to create wall hangings, quilts, duvets, shams, pillows, clothing and other textiles that are functional art.

I know there’s something wrong with the expression “walk a thousand miles on another man’s hands”, but Tezz looked like he’d walked a thousand miles on his own ones. I wondered what the significance of the ring was, if he’d been given it once, but I didn’t ask. I figured it was none of my business.

“Fu qi zheng”, is the brandname of my company e-tailing cancer Chinese medicine. This logo was the original designed by me in 2004. The Chinese characters, fu qi zheng mean assist body function to an equilibrium state, and therefore, there is a tai chi circle with Yin and Yang inside. I put this logo design in red bubble because lots of internet friends ask me whether I can sell them the clothes with the logo, now they can buy from here :) There is a black version available.

OIL PAINTING / Image Copyright © 2008 JANE À PARIS / Professionally photographed by Citizens Photo ...wandering across the globe and confronted by the same system elsewhere, (for the State lurks everywhere)...it is a story of a never-ending search of self, place, peace, civil rights, dignity, respect, freedom, and functionality within a system that denies all of these things to you over and over…the system does not work for you…le système ne fonctionne pas pour vous… you have no rights…you are a slave…dependent on the mercy and kindness of others…and punished by those who are not kind or merciful and think they have some right to prey on you and keep you in a bubble, or goldfish bowl…as Blanche Dubois said in a Streetcar Named Desire…’I have always depended on the kindness of strangers’...being kept powerless, where your sexuality becomes a tool to punish or keep you…in a cage…you are a FISH IN A BOWL, THAT IS BEING CONSTANTLY WATCHED BY OTHERS, (NO PRIVACY), AND YOUR RAFT IF LEAKY, YOU ARE SINKING…WATCH OUT FOR THAT SHARK…YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS PARADE AROUND YOU…REALLY MAKING FUN OF YOU AND MOCKING YOUR POWERLESSNESS…YOU MOST CERTAINLY DO NOT FIT IN WITH THAT SCHOOL OF FISH, THE NORM OF SOCIETY, YOU HAVE BEEN MADE AN OUTCAST, ALTHOUGH THEY DO REFER TO THIS EXPERIENCE OF CONSTANT HUMILIATION AND DEPRIVATION OF JUSTICE AND RIGHTS AS SCHOOL…SEEMINGLY IMPLYING THAT THEY ARE TEACHING YOU SOME SORT OF LESSON BY KEEPING YOU IN ENDLESS BONDAGE… This oil painting is about State Torture. They isolate you like a goldfish in a bowl, on display for everyone because they constantly violate your privacy and have no regard for your privacy. The shark represents my ex-husband and the police taking a bite out of my raft (body). The octopus (eightpus, octopie, or atepus) represents the physical torture never going away, in fact staring obnoxiously and blatantly at me never-endingly. Staring me down. Down, down, down. The schools of fish in the background are the normal people, going about their everyday business and ignoring a political freak like me. And the superior flying fishies around my raft are the mean and cruel people who think it is funny to torture and abuse me by playing mind games, lying to me, controlling me, denying me opportunities, harassing me, and —POKING—fun at me. They can fly because they are so superior. They are parading around my raft making fun of me. The big hand at the top of the goldfish bowl is God. Other’s might not love and nurture me, but God loves and nurtures me, because I am his child and I love him, so he loves me.
