Its a little strange to be absent from the enjoyable bits and pieces in my life – but thats where I have been for some time. Tonight I spent the better part of the evening going through shots and uploading high res images. Fun Fun – digging through the past. Nothing like a good shot to bring back memories of what was going on at the time!!
...i can see this taking up more of my time than Facebook. Oh dear. :)

I have found that when people spend time with me…That time flies..Days pass easily. It will be noon and by the time they look at the clock it is midnight. How is it that hours or days pass right before your eyes and you never realize it? I haven’t been blogging for a while…I have been in a funk, artistically, mentally, emotionally…I can’t exactly pinpoint the reason why. I have ideas about why. But I refuse to accept them. About four nights ago, I was searching for a friend. I happened upon a website that could sell my art and make prints. The day it happened I asked the universe to spread my name world wide. It has come to fruition… For every hit I get on that page, most of the people are in countries far from here. That same night I resisted. I said that I would not paint Prince. I would not degrade myself by doing something artistically that I did not want to do… My thoughts have been flighty. I think that I have been flighty. I just want to go into my cocoon and stay there. I want to be hidden from the world but at the same time I want to be seen. I am very lonley. Lonliness, has filled my spirit for about a week now. I want to get over the sinking feeling that I have in the pit of my stomach. But I know that it won’t go away. I have wanted to take my thoughts away from their present place, and take them to new heights. But I find that it is hard when a world unknown to you remains that way. I refuse to just be an option. I have been just that for many years now. I want to be number one. So if I seem selfish when I write these blogs you are correct in your analysis. If I seem self centered you are correct. Because in all actuality you are all you have. If you spend your life trying to make others happy and others accept you then your life will be wasted on someone else. So I guess that is why when others are around me time flies. Because I am living in the moment. Enjoying life at its present. Because tomorrow is never guaranteed. I could go on and on about my current feelings. My current emotions. I could spend all day on them…But why when all that matters is the present moment. I am about to dedicate myself, my life to this moment. The moment when I am going to say, “Fuck everyone else and their misery,” Cause I’m about to have fun. I’m about to enjoy my life, I’m about to enjoy living in the moment. If this art thing goes the way I hope that is excellent, if not then at least I know that I tried. I am going to get out of this mood. I’m going to expand my mind. And I’m going to have a fucking good time. And by the time I realize it…It will be next year…Cause it really is funny how time flies when you’re having fun!

Early this November I had the Honor of hanging out with some great photographers. It was awesome to finally meet people I had known via the internet for at least a couple of years. As well as make a few new wonderful friends. / We had planned our get together since Feb, come November we all met here where I live in the Great Smoky Mountains of East TN. / Of course we all have our shots of each other from the weekend, but I decided to do mine alittle differently / I created a video of some of our shots. Added alittle music, which I think fits the mood we all had. / For those who watch it, I hope you enjoy it, and of course can leave a comment. / I have it on My Space / http://www.myspace.com/christopherewing / The video is on my home page. / So enjoy, and have your dancing shoes on :) / Thanks / Chris Also, a Huge Thanks to…Marianne Venegoni, Sally Stacey, Gary Suddath, Ronnie Hamilton, Sherri Hamilton, Judy Howle, Debbie Qualls, Jay Qualls, and Joe Howle for giving me one the best times of my life…I will always remember our weekend together.

How time flies when you’re having fun. / I don’t believe that time can wait, / When everything is said and done We share a quip, invent a pun, / And suddenly, it’s getting late. / How time flies when you’re having fun. It feels as if we’ve just begun! / It’s no use getting in a state, / When everything is said and done We’ll only fret and come undone / (Not a good personality trait). / How time flies when you’re having fun. So tell your daughters (or your son) / Not to repeat this tiresome fate / When everything is said and done. So have you lost, or have you won, / When you have played life’s game till late? / How time flies when you’re having fun, / When everything is said and done.

Grandma was quiet the lady in her 90’s I wrote a book about her life coming to the US from Russia and then small inserts about our week end outings she loved so much. Here is one about those darn dentures. Read and enjoy. Those dentures As you know we go out every other Saturday so there are lots of tales to share which come from these outings as well as stories of what has transpired during our trips. This Saturday we have again made the trip to Shoney’s of course this isn’t her favorite Shoney’s due to not having the old timers that the one by the uniform shop has. All the same Gramma enjoys every minute of her dining out. / We have just finished and the conversation of the day was the frustration she is having with her teeth, well maybe lack of teeth at the moment. Gramma has full dentures on the top however has only a partial on the bottom as she has managed to keep some of her bottom teeth. Now at her age this is most unusual. Unfortunately the last few teeth she has holding in her partial are giving her a hard time. So we are now at the stage in her life where she will have to have a lower denture plate. This isn’t something she takes lightly too in any way shape or form. / As we are leaving the parking lot she was saying how she will be glad to be able to eat what she wants be it hard or soft food. She still had the partial in until the dentures could be fitted. The partial didn’t seem to want to stay exactly where it should be and although there was no way she could choke on it or have it slip down her throat it was most uncomfortable. She was expressing this frustration and as I glanced over to her I looked her in the eyes and said in an ironical manner, “Gramma are ya drooling? Poor thing do I need to wipe your chin?” She gave me the most hilarious look and said “honey do you have a tissue for your old Grandmaw to wipe her chin?” Honestly she wasn’t drooling but just the thought of being old and having drool come from her mouth wasn’t something she ever wanted to have to deal with. / Since this trip out she has been fitted and should be getting her new dentures soon. By the time we make our next Saturday dinning trip after visiting the salon she will be able to munch on all the food she wants and any desert choice she so chooses! by Leta Davenport

Yes we know they all love the wheel of fortune. A great story about an evening when I was with Great Gramma watching A Wheel of Fortune, a little lifestyle humor to make you smile. Part of series from a book I have written about her life. Wheel of Fortune Night This is our Tuesday evening we share together as I visit weekly while Gramma’s daughter goes to socialize at weight watchers. Gramma loves to have visitors, a good companion to share current events of the world or just local gossip. We also catch up on the latest family news along with the happenings in Great Falls, Montana. / As we enjoy our couple of hours together Wheel of Fortune comes on and it is a regular show we watch while I visit. We had been out for our evening walk and checked to be sure all the neighbors were on their P’s and Q’s. Discussed the lazy fellow in the corner house who can’t seem to find time to mow his lawn much less trim the bushes. These bushes are on the corner where the two streets meet. If turning this corner should a little old lady be walking; if not careful she may be run over. Of course eventually someone says something to let him know it just isn’t safe for children at play. Of course our concern at present isn’t the children it is the little old lady who loves her walk. / When we return home we sit on the porch making mention of the flowers blooming as Gramma loves her flower garden. I get the broom and do my weekly sweeping of the ramp, porch and sidewalk. As I am sweeping I have to listen to my lecture how this sweeping isn’t good for me. Of course I am the one with the bad back not Gramma for sure. Over and over she says don’t do that, don’t sweep so fast and hard it isn’t good for you. You will hurt your back again. Gramma is the most limber older lady I have ever known, who our age these days can bend straight over and tie their shoes? She is almost 94 years old and she can. / Okay a little history there for you and we are now off to Gramma’s room. The television is on and here comes “Wheel of Fortune”. I am not sure why the elderly love this show however they do. Next of course here comes “that lady” as Gramma calls her. I am no television buff but I think it is Vanna White. Gramma just gets a kick out of the outfits she wears. She says: why does she let them make her wear these awful, unattractive outfits?” They have got to be uncomfortable. Well as she walks back and forth I say this is somewhat of a snug gown she has on tonight isn’t it Gramma? She makes another comment about those horrible shoes and how in the hang can she walk? Oh my gosh, as she turns again Gramma notices something. This is a cream color evening gown type dress, floor length with a brownish diagnal stripe pattern on it. When we see the rear view Gramma blurts out “look that dress is going up her butt”. I immediately look as this wasn’t something I had noticed. / Gramma is thinking out loud to let me know she doesn’t think this outfit is fit for television viewing. Oh Gosh, she says I just can’t believe this. Well she was so sure of what she was seeing and at first glance when brought to my attention I thought the same. I never had the heart to say Gramma that is the brownish diagnal stripe giving us the appearance of the dress creeping where it shouldn’t be. I felt I better keep my mouth shut and leave well enough alone. / Of course when I left the house thirty minutes later the episode continued to go through my head, along with that look of awe on her face. I think I laughed so hard driving home my eyes were watering. / So this is just yet another of the small tales that comes from spending a little quality, memorable evening with this wonderful elderly lady. I love her dearly she is such a hoot! These are times I will carry with me for my lifetime. If the opportunity is there my advice is take advantage of spending time with your elders. You will enjoy yourself and we all can only imagine how much it lights up their hearts and what it means to them. by Leta Davenport

I am pregnant with 13 week identical twins…I know babies number five AND six hehe We are beyond excited (somewhat over the shell shock) we went for “just one more” and have honestly hit the jackpot. My husband, other children and I are just thrilled. This is why I don’t have (make?) much time for photography. / My time will come and I’m looking forward to it…but at the exact same second as wanting more time for ‘me’ I know that when I get that time it will mean my delightful children will be independent enonough to not need us so much…it’s bittersweet already… I shall keep you posted about our health as best I can…all is well so far… Thankyou Susan XoxOo and babes :):)

Hi! Many thanks to Art and Stories For Children for featuring my “Whale Of A Time” painting :D Below is the quote that inspired this painting: ” 20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore.Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain

I’ve had my first photo removed from a challenge. Said it wasn’t humorous, ha!! Challenge entry removed / “You’ve been raspberried…” was removed from the challenge “Funniest Photo of the Week” by a moderator REASON: The group guidelines are that we limit animal shots to only those that are very creative/unusual I’ve been rejecting MOST of the animal entries. It wasn’t just yours. Poor Bubba, if they only knew how hard it is to photograph a ferret. This is priceless, I’d probably never get this shot again in a million years: You’ve been raspberried I just had to share this. I think Bubba is adorable and the photo is hilarious and I personally know people who thought he was a hoot. But then I am in love with ferrets, they are humorous little babes and have provided me with countless hours of laughter. I remember coming home from work after having a bad day, and they could make me laugh when nobody else could. Thanks for taking the time to read. No hard feelings to any of the hosts, just a little hard to believe :D Glenna

The absolutely stunning Danielle Prowse just posted a journal about Tee Cutting. This strange sounding concept is actually a way to make ulta creative fashionista features for your RedBubble t-shirts using nothing but a sharp pair of scissors. How great does it look!? So I thought I’d give it a go. When I ran up stairs to show the guys they mostly laughed, but I think in the good way. Perhaps cut and paste isn’t in my skill set quite yet, but I’m really liking where this is going. Making art out of art.

Construction has begun to reorganize the deck and feeders. Currently we have 4 feeders, a suet, a couple bags of thistle and one regular feeder which holds 3 types of seeds, fruit and nuts, black oil sunflower seeds and safflower seeds. Yummy! The squirrel tho is feasting out on the sunflower seeds like there is no tomorrow and we had to fill that section twice already…. We’re going to suspend the feeder on it’s wire off a tall pole.. maybe get some more feeders and a few hanging plants on the way! Yeah! Now there’s an idea! To be continued…....
