Canoeing on the spring run at Manatee Springs State Park, Chiefland, Florida. Manatee Springs is a state park centered around an enormous first-magnitude freshwater spring on the Suwannee River. It has caverns large enough to dive and is a world-class dive spot. It was one of the first springs discovered in Florida and is probably what the Spanish were referring to when they spoke of the Fountain of Youth. You have never seen blue colors like you see in these springs when the sun is right. Manatees swim into these springs in the winter and raise families and are fiercely protected by the state park rangers. The closest town, 6 miles away, is Chiefland, Florida, where I have my portrait studio.
The dive platform at Blue Springs Park in High Springs, Florida. This is one of my family’s favorite spots, this beautiful second-magnitude spring on the Santa Fe River.
Canoes await paddlers at Blue Springs Park in High Springs, Florida. The spring run is a couple hundred yards long before you get out to the Santa Fe River, about 8 miles up from the confluence of the Suwannee River.
A kayak and tube on the side of the main spring at Ginnie Springs Resort. I am always in the water, I love shots like this.
A kayak and tube sit idle while their paddlers get out of the spring. This is Dogwood Spring, one of the 7 springs on the Ginnie Springs Resort property in High Springs, Florida. Paradise on earth if you ask me.

Tubing in the Santa Fe River at Devil’s Ear spring on the Ginnie Springs Resort property in High Springs, Florida. I love the blues and greens that shine up from the depths here at this spring.

We colored easter eggs today – always a surprise how they turn out! This has had saturation and tint added to enhance… If you’d like this without the letters, or just “Easter”, or a different colour – or the original egg: please contact me! I’ll upload the changed version too. THANKS!
