  • This has 32 favs Whilst we were entertaining friends for the afternoon, it began snowing rather heavily. It was the first proper snow storm of the season. My little girl, without thought for the cold or the wet, ran outside with a joyful expression on her face and began catching snow flakes on her tongue. It is this abandonment of expression and glee that I love about my children. It is the same way that Jesus desires us to approach him, with sheer joy, and without reserve. Canon EOS—1Ds Mark ll / 28-300mm IS zoom lens / f/5 / 1/160 / ISO 400 When I shot this, the image came out quite dark as it was getting dark outside. I did shoot others which are brighter but don’t have the detail of the snow as good. The snow in the others is blurred because of longer exposure, and I didn’t want to use a flash because I wanted to keep the natural light. I decide to lift the shadow and raise the exposure a bit using iPhoto and changed it to B&W to highlight the detail of the textures. I am pleased with the result. I hope you like it as well.
