/ A Pocket Full of Posies Ring a-ring o’ roses, / A pocketful of posies. / a-tissue!, a-tissue!. / We all fall down. I created this from a tissue box for the Mini Challenge: Recycled Art over in the forums here on RB. The tissue box shall now live on my kitchen bench and is the new dispenser for recyclable plastic bags :) this was painted using aquarelle watercolour crayons and black marker pen, over an undercoat of white gesso…fixative applied liberally after to protect the paint work I thought this poem was very appropriate and hence the title….as it was originally a box full of tissues :) there are many variations of this poem, the one i’ve quoted is the UK version.

Well, its a marvelous night for a moondance / With the stars up above in your eyes / A fantabulous night to make romance / neath the cover of october skies / And all the leaves on the trees are falling / To the sound of the breezes that blow / And I’m trying to please to the calling / Of your heart-strings that play soft and low / And all the nights magic seems to whisper and hush / And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush Can I just have one a more moondance with you, my love / Can I just make some more romance with a-you, my love Well, I wanna make love to you tonight / I cant wait til the morning has come / And I know that the time is just right / And straight into my arms you will run / And when you come my heart will be waiting / To make sure that you’re never alone / There and then all my dreams will come true, dear / There and then I will make you my own / And every time I touch you, you just tremble inside / And I know how much you want me that you cant hide One more moondance with you in the moonlight / On a magic night / La, la, la, la in the moonlight / On a magic night / Cant I just have one more dance with you my love Full moon, Sydney , Australia 2009 ©2009 / 2010Globalphotos All rights reserved. / All photographs, text and images by Globalphotos are the exclusive property of Globalphotos – protected under Australian and international copyright laws. / These images may not be reproduced, copied or manipulated without written permission. / No use for Public Domain. / Use of any image for another photographic concept or illustration is a violation of copyright.

This digital artwork is a ‘full frame’ version (as opposed to a vignette) created for a WWF FDC envelope design ( 1 of 4) . I decided to paint a ‘panoramic’ background, even though most of it will be vignetted out when used for an FDC envelope design. I thought it was such a dramatic piece of coastline, it would make an attractive larger ‘full frame’ poster and print, alongside the usual ‘vignetted’ and much smaller FDC version which I will post shortly. The background alone took 48 hours to paint and was made up of 6 separate layers: Sky /Clouds/ and four sections of the terrain overlapping eachother. Doing it in layers allowed me more freedom to adjust each one tonally to give the impression of ‘atmospherics’, so the most distant part of the coastline is much ‘cooler’ and slightly blurred, than the more close up part which is ‘warmer’ and sharper.
This began with an image I shot of a piece of quartz crystal on 10/19/09….edited in PhotoImpact11 for this final effect…..Please view in large format…... / Copyright protected and registered – Please respect copyrights:MCN: CY3NG-V2L7Y-FS2VY / / The Original /

Digital collage inspired by living on the largest lake in Texas for over 15 years. We moved to a nearby town in 2005 due to rising costs of everything including gas and oh how I miss living on the lake! The beauty and inspiration there is awe-inspiring to me as an artist. We can still drive out there for a visit, but it’s not the same. BEST VIEWED LARGE. ;)
