  • The Trees
    by solareclips~Julie Alexander

    US$3.66–US$83.60

The Trees / by: Rush / listen here / There is unrest in the forest / There is trouble with the trees / For the maples want more sunlight / And the oaks ignore their pleas The trouble with the maples / (And they’re quite convinced they’re right) / They say the oaks are just too lofty / And they grab up all the light / But the oaks can’t help their feelings / If they like the way they’re made / And they wonder why the maples / Can’t be happy in their shade? There is trouble in the forest / And the creatures all have fled / As the maples scream “Oppression!” / And the oaks just shake their heads So the maples formed a union / And demanded equal rights / ‘The oaks are just too greedy / We will make them give us light’ / Now there’s no more oak oppression / For they passed a noble law / And the trees are all kept equal / By hatchet, / Axe, / And saw Thank you for viewing my work!!! • The Wild Wood
    by DonDavisUK

    US$3.83–US$87.40

The Wild Wood is part of Plymbridge Woods near Plymouth, Devon. UK. What I liked about this haven of nature is that it was only a ten minute drive from our home, and then we were into the depths of the wild woodlands. You know the adventure stories; ‘If you go down to the woods today, your in for a big surprise’ The trees here are overgrowing, tumbling and natural, yet once upon a time there was a thriving mining and quarrying industry through this place. Apart from the odd ruins you’d never know it. A lovely, peaceful walk for families (not good for push-chairs), youngsters swim in the river in summer and teenagers love exploring the many ancient ruins and quarries. A great place not far from home. /

  • Tired
    by solareclips~Julie Alexander

    US$3.66–US$83.60

This lovely old tree looks so tired!! It’s branches just reach out, twisting and curling… I love it, especially in black and white. While I was out shooting this tree, the man that lived on the property (crotchity old fella) came out to shout at me and ask what I was doing! When I explained that I simply wanted to shoot this amazing tree, I was told to do it quickly then go! Yikes!!!! Sorry old man, I was just wanting to take a friggin picture!!! I should have snapped off a few of him, but I didn’t want to take any “buckshot” in my backside!! I do (after all) live in the hills of Tennessee, and you NEVER know what folks around here will do!!!
